  Got my Chitown R/C Basher
Posted by: RCDad - 06-16-2005, 08:16 AM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (10)

Well I've been wanting one of these for a long time, its supposed to be on the way, ready to race, and all that. We'll see what kind of shape its in when it arrives...you know how that goes. It's hard to tell anything from pictures (sort of like meeting someone online).

Anyway, I needed something to take with me when you guys want to go out and bash monster trucks, I really don't want to sacrifice my pede.

From what I know of the Savage, its pretty much ready for anything right out of the box. No upgrades really needed?

  Dont Bake Response Tires!!!
Posted by: rocco79 - 06-16-2005, 08:00 AM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (53)

F.Y.I.!!!!

I was Using my standard process of takin tires off rims lastnight and about burn the Apartment down.... I usually bake tires at like 400 for 22 to 25 mins without any problems in the past ... Well since the response is such a soft tire ( didnt think of that before started) That at the 15 mark smoke was rolling outs my oven and setting off all the smoke detectors!!!
It smelt like an NHRA event in my apt. for the rest of the night... As for the responses... There ruined... They are now super soft and sticky... Black goo sticks to your hands when touch them. Nothing like ruinin 4 tires that still had like atleast 60% tread.
Oh well , Just thought id share..

  I did it!

I got rid of ALL my Dominator and hybrid stuff. I sold/traded everything for a NEW EbMods P5 (not the "X" version), $250 cash, and a NEW Vantage carbon fiber pipe/header. I traded the Dom Hybrid as a roller and kept my motor/pipe, starter box, and electronics. I need something to drop on whatever new truggy I get. Smile

Now I just need to sell my OS VZB and Ofna 063 pipe/header to get some more cash. I want one of the new breed of truggies. I'm thinking about the sportworks truggy or Jammin truggy. I have to wait until they are realeased to check them out though, bummer.

I also kept my SM racing wheels for whatever new truck I get.

Soooo, I'm back to just having a maxx now. I am going to wait for the right truggy deal to come my way. I don't want to rush things and get something I don't really want. coughLSPcough. I have nothing against the LSP, it's a great truck, I just hate having something everyone else has. Plus I hear parts aren't the easiest to get ahold of. So many people own LSP's right now it's like everyone is fighting over parts. With the Jammin at least Ofna will be there with tons of parts support.

  my motor is acting wierd
Posted by: Notochord - 06-13-2005, 04:27 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (1)

so whenever i go out to drive my car. it starts to drive all normal, but after a minutte it just stops. so today i took it in and i was trying to figure out the problem. my motor wires arent messed up there getting a good connection. so then i looked at the motor. when ever i push on the endbell of my motor it works but if i let go then it doesnt work. theres a hole in the motor so when i looked in and pushed the motor it was sparking a lot so i thought that the brushes are worn out. because its getting a bad connection. do you think it is the motor and how do i take out the brushes sorry for all these stupid questions but it helps thanks.

What is worth more if you wanted to sell it on eBay? An Mugen MBX4 RR or a Savage?
