  Official: Post your pic!

I think this would be cool. Everyone should post their pics here, so when new members come out and bash, everyone can know who is who around here. How about it? I'll start it off.

The savage got some gifts today.
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 09-19-2004, 02:41 AM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (15)

Went over to leisure hobbys today and picked up some stuff for the savage.

JR XS3 Pro (the silver one). No more conflicting channels for me now Cool.
El Camino SS body and some paint to go with it.
MSR4 Integy shocks.

They didn't have chrome paint, so I gotta wait to head over to al's on monday before I paint the body. The receiver is installed and tested. The shocks are built and oiled (35 weight), but ran into a snag installing them. The hole for the mount is closer to the cap than the stock pieces, so it hits the shock tower and doesn't fit Sad. Being as late as it is, I didn't want to crack the dremel out and wake everyone in the house, so I'll wait until tommorrow to finish up the truck. I little grinding will take care of my little snag and hold me over until I pick up some aluminum shock towers. I can't wait to fire her up and take her for a little spin tommorrow!

Truck should be mint by saturday for the video shoot Smile. I'd take pictures, but my camera is missing Sad. I'll have to get a hold of jack and borrow his.

  Another busted gas tank...
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 09-18-2004, 02:13 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (7)

So with a fresh new gas tank, I headed over to leisure hours last thursday to meet up with some of you and race my savage.

After I gased up the savage I headed out to the race track and got ready to fire her up. That's when I noticed that the side of the gas tank was all wet. I wiped it down and it got wet again real quick. Gave it another wipe down and began inspecting it. This is when I noticed the lead is coming from the seam . What the hell, this is a new tank! I think this is like the 4th tank I have installed on the truck. All the previous one had gotten big holes in the from getting hit by the shock screws from bad accidents. I sweat, I have no luck with tanks.

Ahhh, feels good to vent once in a while. Time to head off to the hobby shop tommorrow and pick up another tank. Maybe look into an FM system as well Smile.

  Made some changes today.
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 09-18-2004, 11:46 AM - Forum: News - Replies (2)

Did some moving around and rearranging today Smile. Don't worry folks, no forums have been removed. I did add 2 new ones though.

I have added the General R/C and Meeting Spot forums. I figure that this is a R/C forum, so instead of us posting all the general rc stuff in the lounge, it can be posted in it's own forum. This will leave the lounge to be, well, a lounge. A place to kick back and talk about whatever. The Meeting Spot should be self-explanitory. Should make it easier for new members and visitor to quickly find out where and when others are hanging out.

Enjoy folks. More stuff happening in the neat future...maybe even a chitownrc.com video Wink. Comments are very welcome.
