I need a new word for "rippin"
Posted by: DO-U-MAXX - 08-13-2004, 06:19 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - No Replies

cause thats what I classified my wasp with my fantom pipe on it. I just installed the Jammin pipe and there just has to be a more definitive word to explain the amazing performance.
I mean.......................woooooooooooooooowwwwwww!!
Gets some front end air time in second gear while accelerating on the grass with stock rubber. I bet on a high bite surface and bowties it will be able to almost flip it over.
I still have the slipper loosened up about 3/4 turn to allow massive slipping and its still rich :o and running at 230 with back to back high speed passes and I'm still leaning it out a bit.
Good thing the pipe came today cause I just shipped out my fantom this afternoon from selling it on ebay. I'm sure it has a little to do with the 2lb weight reduction as well.
So its off to the LHS to get some 30% and a few other items. See most of you on the 21st at berwyn unless we hit leisure before that.

  Tire type to surface type
Posted by: Mr. Associated - 08-13-2004, 04:23 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (4)

What type of tire do you like to use, brand name/foam or rubber/size on what type of surfaces. I had some stock rubber tires on my Nitro TC3 and after a short time they did'nt hook up at all on the street. I'm currently using Jaco Nitro shoes (foams), 30mm in the back and 24mm up front. The rears are softer than the fronts for traction purposes. I really like the way they hook as long as your on a street thats not to dusty. I'm curious how they would handle on an out door on-road track thats perpared. Of course their not going to have ther long life like rubber tires but I think their the better choice for getting the best traction.

  How much you weighin
Posted by: DO-U-MAXX - 08-11-2004, 02:45 PM - Forum: Off-Topic - Replies (4)

I just put my maxx on a diet from the beefy 11lbs down to a slim, but not too slim, 9lbs with the .21. Big Grin Big Grin I even had to remove the black trinity springs I just bought cause they were too stiff now.
Couple that with 2.3HP and trust me she flies.
You have to wait for pics until my new body is done. I took off the cage cause I wanted a truck again and the cage looked real goofy with the 40 dish wheels, and I wanted to shed the excess weight. Only took about $150-$200 to lighten it up 2lbs so thats a mighty expensive diet at around $100/lb but well worth it so far.

Whats everyone else tippin the scales at so I know how far I've come or how far I need to go.
