general revo discussion - rocco79 - 01-09-2006 Tune heard you were flyin on saturday. What tires you running??? What brands made the A?? All revos? general revo discussion - Mr. Tune - 01-09-2006 I was running maxx size bowties on velocity wheels. Everyone made the A because there wasn't enough to split by the end of the day. The guy who won was running a big block powered extended chassis revo. general revo discussion - FreeRideFrosty - 01-09-2006 Psh... hard hit to break a red pushrod. I was just cruising around the track, didn't crahs, didn't hit anything and broke one on a normal landing off of a jump... general revo discussion - rocco79 - 01-09-2006 Was there anything besides revos? Cuz i know a guy bringing a savage! :wavey: general revo discussion - Mr. Tune - 01-09-2006 I have never broken one without a hard hit directly on it. I love em. general revo discussion - Mr. Tune - 01-09-2006 There were a few savages, and I think an MGT too. general revo discussion - rocco79 - 01-09-2006 FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Psh... hard hit to break a red pushrod. I was just cruising around the track, didn't crahs, didn't hit anything and broke one on a normal landing off of a jump... Maybe it was stressed and hairlined due to one of your many crashes/ backflip bashing sessions prior to your trip to the track. They are tiny pieces of metal that that serious beatings but i cant see one just breaking from a regular landing general revo discussion - rocco79 - 01-09-2006 Wow! thats cool. I got a sweet set up im working on for he savy. I think the lsp seems about dialed so i only have to work on the savy. ( knocking on wood mash: ) general revo discussion - Obsessive R/C - 01-09-2006 Any reason 40 series Bowties aren't working at LH...the overall dia. isn't that much different than standard Maxx size. general revo discussion - rocco79 - 01-09-2006 Fire sprink had them on his revo and they looked good to me... Maybe him or newguy would now more.. general revo discussion - Mr. Tune - 01-09-2006 It's because of the sidewall. Not enough of it. general revo discussion - rocco79 - 01-09-2006 hmmm you would think that would be better there...... werid. general revo discussion - Obsessive R/C - 01-09-2006 What about foams??? Soft, firm, two stage, moulded??? general revo discussion - Ponch - 01-09-2006 I agree that the red pushrods are somewhat weak, but I never used the stockers to compare them to. They took some punishment, but getting hit by a buggy killed one of mine. Snapped the threads right offa it....Not happy lol... general revo discussion - destroy_my_revo_15 - 01-09-2006 i havent had any probs with the reds yet (knock on wood mash: )although i have soo much steering to one side that the tire actually rubs the pushrod. this leads me to a ? how do i lessen the travel on that side and gain some the other way. i just cant remember how. general revo discussion - thenewguy821 - 01-09-2006 Check to make sure that your servo is centered correctly. Take the steering servo arm(s) off, set your steering trim in the center, get your wheels as straight as you visibly can and re-install the Servo arms. Test drive the truck to get your steering trim right. Then check your steering. If you still have more in one dirrection than the other, check your end point adjustments on your radio. I haven't run 40series Tires, but I have standard size Bowties. They seem to hook up pretty good, but the foams were bad, and it was hard to get a good feel for them. Bill (Firesprink) has been running the 40 series, and seems to like them, general revo discussion - destroy_my_revo_15 - 01-09-2006 all of that is fine but i think it might be in my linkages since i upgraded to a longer horn general revo discussion - db302 - 01-12-2006 Shock absorber "pack" - what is it, how does one measure it, and can it benefit a Revo@LHR? BTW, anyone care to share a good starting suspension set up for LH? Thanks - DaveB general revo discussion - destroy_my_revo_15 - 01-12-2006 well i have orange springs up in front and 70 wt shock oil. gold springs in rear and 60 wt shock oil. whatever the stock pistons are. ive found it to be a predictable setup. general revo discussion - Tex - 01-12-2006 http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/revo_performance_sc.htm read that! general revo discussion - Tex - 01-12-2006 MORE! http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/revo_performance_setup_guide.htm general revo discussion - snakebite46 - 01-12-2006 Destroymyrevo's shock/spring combo is pretty much what I ran at the old LH track. I ran 60w all around instead of the 70 in front. #1 pistons frt and #2 rear. general revo discussion - db302 - 01-12-2006 http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/...formance_sc.htm read that! MORE! http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/...setup_guide.htm Kewl. I'll keep both the Traxxas setup stuff in mind as well as the other post info. Still, any info on this "shock pack" concept? Thanks for helpin' out an old timer... - DaveB general revo discussion - db302 - 01-12-2006 Sorry about trying to do the "quote" things to reference other posts on this thread. I'm also new to forums in general, but I really do appreciate the feedback I'm receiving on my Revo! This is really helpin' me a lot. general revo discussion - Tex - 01-12-2006 to quote something just go to the post you want to quote and hit the quote button on the bottom of that post |
