2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-05-2006 chris arnold Wrote:joe torres has been known for a long time as a tipper of marshalls. its not for volunteers as much as its for the person that marshalls for him. I learn something new every day here. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - HAGASAN - 12-05-2006 When LH first opened the new track, there was couple young kids out there marshalling almost all day long and i did tip them a 5, its a shame really as there was like 20 guys on the stand and not hardly any of them marshalled. So i pay kids to do it for me. I do marshall and dont mind it, but sometimes the back starts acting up and it aint worth the pain. Luckily for me there are kids that dont mind marshalling for cash, although Ponch turned it down. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-05-2006 gotcha. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Eddie F - 12-05-2006 I give Mike props for doing well with TTR products , most dumped them like a $2 hooker , but Mike keeps on pluggin away and doing well with it , kicked my ass in truggy . Kadow can be fast with just about any car , plus he has been racing for a long time. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - chris arnold - 12-05-2006 eddie you up for some mod trucking sat nite 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Eddie F - 12-05-2006 Cant do it , its Kaylas birthday party . the only day in the year I cant race . 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-05-2006 thanks eddie 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - kevinF - 12-05-2006 HAGASAN Wrote:When LH first opened the new track, there was couple young kids out there marshalling almost all day long and i did tip them a 5, its a shame really as there was like 20 guys on the stand and not hardly any of them marshalled. But I try not to do that when the marshall is within 5 ft of the truck or so. I did see alot of drivers not doing their duty and just practice and then walk off the stand into the pits. Although they know they need to go marshall. Myself included was out there for way longer then the 10min or how ever long a tank lasts. I get tired of it. I see guys just walk off and leave someone alone to marshall. I have seen guys be the only one and walk off after 5 minutes. I stayed out there this weekend because there was only one other guy out there. And with 15 car/trucks out there. I wasnt about to leave him alone. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Eracer76 - 12-05-2006 Casketman Wrote:I did see alot of drivers not doing their duty and just practice and then walk off the stand into the pits. I dont think the problem with lack of marshals will ever change... Too many people just run a tank, then head to the pits to make changes or what ever it is they do, and never marshall during practice. I try to marshall for the same time I spend on the track after every tank. There have been times when I stayed out there longer though, because it was just two of us..... but at some point, around 15-20min of marshaling, and no one comes out to help (maybe because there is people marshaling already) I have to say screw it....and just walk off 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Casketman - 12-05-2006 I think the longest I went was about 30 minutes maybe? I dont know, but I do know that I have seen a guy get out there 3 times with his LST while I was out on the track. I would think the only way that this can get fixed is if they put a bouncer type guy at the door. You cant leave till you get out there. If you refuse, then pack your stuff up and be gone. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-05-2006 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - kevinF - 12-05-2006 wow dave, never thought you have ever been to the track....lol j/p 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Casketman - 12-05-2006 Yea,but I would say that 95% of the people there over the weekend knew they had to do that. They saw the sign, they heard Jon announce it and it was in the meetings. Us regulars already know it and some of us STILL dont do it. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - kevinF - 12-05-2006 this is how i see it, go out and marshall for 10 minutes then when those 10 minutes are up, wlka off, if theres nobody on there then screw them, they can get their own damn car or dont flip, maybe thatll teach them to be a de3cent person and to go out and marshall?? 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Casketman - 12-05-2006 No,it wont. You have heard jon before. 15-20 guys on the stand and only 2-3 on the track. As Eric said, Quote:I dont think the problem with lack of marshals will ever change... 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - kevinF - 12-05-2006 Casketman Wrote:No,it wont. I hate it because I know it will bite me in the ass when I go up to practice. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-05-2006 Maybe that sign needs to say "Immediately after", like when you race. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Casketman - 12-05-2006 I dont think that will work. People are just plain ignorant. And about the body tomorrow dave. They changed things on me at work,so I am thinking it might be Midday when I am in the area. I will give you a call like 10ish or so when I have a better idea. 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - rocco79 - 12-05-2006 Ya know if you dont crash....... ;o) 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-05-2006 cmon we all know that bruce is the only one that doesnt crash 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Casketman - 12-05-2006 Damn mike! LOL 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - satoch - 12-05-2006 Oh I still crash Mike just not as much since I've made clean driving my focus. Speed will come after you can drive without needing to be marshalled. It's the MT guys that should have to marshall two tanks for every tank they run since they crash twice as much. LOL!!!! 2006 Illinois Nitro Championships - Casketman - 12-05-2006 Hey now bruce! |
