Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 gets some holeshots and you will actually have traction Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - mikeh - 10-31-2006 Boas, holeshots, which is it??? I think I will get in some practice time when my motor comes in. What are holeshots BTW? Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 the proline indoor tire holeshot MTRs Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Mr. Tune - 10-31-2006 mikeh, they both work. Flip a coin and pick on . Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 10-31-2006 I have the holeshots on my Revo and they did well this past weekend. I saw a good mix between the two(Boa C's and holeshots). I even saw a decent number of bowties too. I myself and thinking about the XTM pro motor. Just so I can get used to racing and setting up a truggy. I am to used to the Revo and .15/.18 motors. I need to get my mind out of that if I am going to make this work. Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - mikeh - 10-31-2006 How do you like the Ofna 086 pipe? Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 what motor? as a safe "bet" pick up a TTR long pipe w/o the header, thats crap, that pipe works for me on every single motor and its cheap as hell and i cant dent it Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 10-31-2006 Still working on getting the motor race ready. I feel like I am newbie all over again with this stuff. But while out last night. It did feel fine. Remember,I am used to revo stuff. So almost all of this stuff here is new to me. But I think the 086 pipe is a high end pipe? I dont remember. But I remember picking that pipe because the motor is a low end motor(3port). Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 im not sure what the 086 is, i always felt i got more lowend with it and less top but everyone else tells me opposite, i know it does cut down on ur run time Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 10-31-2006 I have been tossing around the idea of a different pipe. Just to see a difference. I still have the stock pipe here but not sure if I will put that on just yet. Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Mr. Tune - 10-31-2006 086 is supposed to be a high end pipe. Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 10-31-2006 Real quick,I know I asked this a few pages back. But I am at the RMV site thinking about these springs http://www.reidrc.com/rmv.htm They have 16mm and 17mm shocks. Which one of these will work on the ST-1. I know Amain says that one of the sets wont work in front because they are to long. How long are we talking and is there anything to do to change that? Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 dont bother u dont need them man Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 10-31-2006 but I want'em!!! They look so cool!!!! Ok,so why dont I need them? And are the shock clips worth it? Do you use'em? Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 what clips are you talking about? they just wont change the handling on your car that much that you would really notice, and they arent cheap lol Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 10-31-2006 When I bought the truck. The guy had some shock body clips with it. Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-31-2006 like ride height adjustment clips? ya i use em Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - mikeh - 11-01-2006 ALright, I am picking up SLim's Nova P5 engine. I would like opinions on a pipe and header. I am looking at this pipe: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/23_32/products_id/4636 ANd this header: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/23_32/products_id/9008 Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Michowski - 11-01-2006 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/23_32/products_id/9003 Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 11-01-2006 that'll be a good combo mike, if the dynamite header doesnt hold up go with the jammin hard ano one they will never bend Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - kevinF - 11-01-2006 the jammin JP headers bend and the pipe dents....takes alot of abuse...but.. Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - mikeh - 11-01-2006 Thanks guys! Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - mikeh - 01-09-2007 Okay, well my first drive of the TTR ST-1 went well. Slim's P5 was awesome! Fired right up, drove like a scalded ape! The TTR however is a piece of CRAP! J/K! But I did snap both steering rod ends. Do they make any strong ones? Heck I was driving like a granny for friggin sake! But the truck was very easy to drive, very easy to correct in the air, and cornered too well for my driving skills. I need practice. Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 01-09-2007 I couldn't get mine started and the POS pullstart broke, sooooo, who has the info on turning the stock setup into a bumpstart? I presume I need to get a lower height motor mount and a non-PS backplate. What else? Thanks Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - mikeh - 01-09-2007 All you need is the backplate and a larger flywheel. I saw the flywheel on the stock one and it too small to reach through the chassis to the starter wheel. I am using the stock motor mounts on mine. Sorry about your pullstart. How about a new motor? A nice racing .21 will outperform and guzzle less fuel that that .28. Someones got to be selling another 5 port 21 around here. |
