Here's my only comments, as an observer, not a driver....

I marshalled for a while today... saw almost 80% of the drivers having trouble on the last triple before the front stretch. Now either they need to slow down and roll through it, or the pipe on the far side (near the garage door) needs to be moved closer to the door to allow a wider landing area before they turn right back towards the front straight. So many drivers flew the pipe.

Another super difficult spot that gave tons of guys problems (and caused massive marshalling) is the "pit" right after the back straight 180. As you drop in, there is a chicane pipe on the left side that juts into the lane. If you can't get to the right side after the right hander dropping into this area you are gonna hit that pipe and get tossed down into the pit before the tabletop jump. Very tough turn/drop/jump setup for most driver I watched (up close). If the chicane were moved back, or the corner pipe eased at the top of the drop in, it would be a tad bit easier, but by no means easy.

The last area that caused major wreckage was the first double triple combo after coming off the front straight. Becuase they are on a short straight right at the entrance to left hand corner, lots of guys wrecked there. Probably the worst spot I saw in terms of wrecks. Maybe today was a bad day to watch with all the vehicles running, I dunno.

Anyway, that what I saw/thought, but these are my opinions and observations and are in now way to be suggesting changes. I'm a customer, not an owner.

I cant believe people are saying its to technical. This is a drivers track, its not your back yard/ You pick a line and drive it and stay off the throttle and get on when you need to the track is fine. People have to adjust to the track not the track adjust to the people.

Its learned throttle control.

Bernie track is awesome, and most love that it is technical, an easy track would get boring. Why am I telling you that, you already know that.....LOL

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 01-02-2006

It will be proven during a race, not during "rush hour" practice like today, I suppose.

The track doesnt get changed for drivers ,drivers change to the track.

That truck is awesome. I loved the way it handled. The only problem I was having is that the truck seemed too loose in the rear end when on the gas hard. What fluids are you running in the diff's again? I think my center is a little thin!!!!

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - cemeb4dk - 01-02-2006

mike try 7/10/3 and tighten up your rear sway bar, that helped mine a ton.

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - rocco79 - 01-02-2006

3f 5m 1r . I think taking some spring outta the rear would help your problem

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - teggy - 01-02-2006

Right now I'm running 3/5/2 and it was all over the place under heavy accereration

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - teggy - 01-02-2006

Thank's for the tip's

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - rocco79 - 01-02-2006

No prob. Hope they help

I like the track. It takes some finese but overall... awesome. And yes... today was a bad day. For a long time no one would marshal and the drivers stand was so full people were standing on the stairs. I saw people running without frequency clips (and not not talking about spek. people), people running the wrong clips, taking clips into the pits even when not working on radio problems. There were a LOT of very young new drivers too that made for a lot of WOT everwhere. There were some nasty wrecks.

Still had a great time talking to people and running at the end of the night. Can't wait to race...

A technical track seperates the men from the boys. Pretty much anyone can go fast in a straight line. Huggen those corners like Sonny is where its at. You need to go slow to be fast. I havent been there yet. Hope I fit in the men group.

Well said Kevin, I hope I can adjust to Bernie's tracks again too Big Grin

I think the track is flowing and I think it's pretty easy to get used to after some practice. It's not any harder than some of the tougher layouts at the last place.

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - FreeRideFrosty - 01-03-2006

I agree. THere are a few tricky parts but I found that if you marshall before you even run you know where the trouble spots are and where you need to slow down a bit. Once you get a handle on things like that back corner you can find faster and more consistant lines. I think it is a great track that will let racers progress a lot as well...

That's the BEST advice that I was ever given when I got into this hobby. The first time I went to a track, that's the FIRST thing that Tex told me. Ever since then, I always try to marshall for a bit before I even think about starting my truck.

Would somebody be so kind as to use that track designer program or draw it out by hand/photoshop/etc:

I would like to see an image of an overhead view of the track at the new LHR.

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - RCDad - 01-12-2006

Well, unfortunately, Google Earth isin't very up to date Big Grin

At lease mark the right spot. we are the little box 3 inches to the right.

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - thenewguy821 - 01-12-2006

I think Blackwolf wanted an overhead of the track layout... lol

The new leisure hours track...what do you think? - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 01-12-2006

That is the overhead view, be more specific !!!!!!!!!!!

Close view:

It goes straight, right, double, triple, left, double, left, left, right, left, right, right, straaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, right, right, drop, left, jump, left, jump, left, left, right. triple, right, straight finish.

Sorry I can't draw better..... seriously, a drawing won't desribe how much elevation changes through the track. Lots of pitching uphill, downhill, sidehill stuff.
