Quote:It is supposed to be a great weekender race fuel without costing you a new motor every week

From their claims, they would run the same engine a full season, with no noticable change in wear.

And that's what makes it a good race fuel versus a bash fuel. Your motor is running hard for shorter periods of time, so it can survive witha little less oil.

I have been happy running OD's but it's all I have ever run and the stock 2.5 runs pretty well and tunes well, and holds it. Maybe we have just been a rare lucky case? Dunno. was thinking 30% but may not worry about it for a while.

Chris, who carries WL? Al's?

Yes, 8% oil in WL, 8% in Trinity Platinum, 11% in O'Donnels, 12% in Trinity Monster HP, I think 16% in traxxas fuels, 18-20% in Trinity Monster Brew.

As long as the engine is tuned properly, the lower oil is not a problem. That was part of the research that WL did. In similar engines, they ran fuel of equal Nitro contents, but various oil contents from 8% - 14%. At the end of the season, there was no engine wear difference in any of the engines, but the lower oil % engines produced a little more power.

Before ANYONE takes this wrong, if you have ANY problems with getting a good tune on your engine, I would NOT recommend the low oil fuels, untill you feel a little more confident in your tuning.

I have been getting the 40% at LH hobby shop. The Hobbytown in Orland Park just started getting the 30% in, I am trying to get him to stock the 40% as well. I'm not sure if Al's carries it. It has been a while since I have been to Al's.
