Steering Radius - UE-Maxx - 02-23-2006 I am pretty sure it's not the radio. I just used my TQ3 and the steering seemed a little worse. Steering Radius - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006 Does it have pivot ball caps like the Revo? When I overtighten them the steering binds. Steering Radius - UE-Maxx - 02-23-2006 Yeah it does. I have the servo saver out and I can turn the wheels freely by hand really far. I have no clue. Steering Radius - Traxxas_Junkee - 02-23-2006 take the linkage where the servo would usually go and see if you can push and pull that to make the steering turn. Steering Radius - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006 Servo going bad? What is the spec's on the servo? Batteries charged? specs: English Metric Torque 4.8/6.0v : 107 / 133 oz. 7.7 / 9.6 kg. Speed 4.8/6.0v : 0.24 / 0.20 second Size : 1.6"x 0.8"x 1.5" 41 x 20 x 38mm Weight : 1.94 oz. 55.2 g. Is 133 oz. enough? Post a picture of the servo/arm/linkage Steering Radius - UE-Maxx - 02-23-2006 Well I checked the spring and it wasn't the stiffest like the guy told me. So I changed it and loosened my pillow ball caps. It helped. I guess I am getting full steering now because I turn it all the way one way and I can't turn it by hand anymore. It still sucks IMO. Steering Radius - Traxxas_Junkee - 02-23-2006 yeah, maxxes dont have the best steering in the world, glad you got it fixed though Steering Radius - UE-Maxx - 02-23-2006 I can tell, but other ones I see at the track seem to be doing just fine. Steering Radius - Traxxas_Junkee - 02-23-2006 yeah i think i would do fine now that i have a better servo, that stock one was a peice of Sh!t Steering Radius - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-23-2006 It could be servo speed of travel now. Or the knuckles can be ground where the pivot ball touches at full travel. Steering Radius - snakebite46 - 02-23-2006 Check the pillowball retainers to see if they are too tight. Next disconnect the turnbuckle at one wheel and see if that helps. Do the same for the other until you find the binding. Did you check the bearings on the servo saver ? I know when I had my UE gen4 saver, I tightened them too tight and crushed the bearings. The pillowball retainers are ok. I will try the turnbuckles tomorrow along with the grinding of the knuckle. Steering Radius - UE-Maxx - 02-23-2006 Michowski Wrote:he already got it figured out. Good advice tho I didn't want to say that lol. I am still going to try everything though to see if it helps. I think last Sunday was the last time I am going to be racing with this truck. Steering Radius - snakebite46 - 02-23-2006 I didnt see the second page of this discussion UE-Maxx. Sorry bout that. Steering Radius - UE-Maxx - 02-23-2006 No problem. I am still going to try the turnbuckle thing. Steering Radius - Michowski - 02-23-2006 still good advice to remember if you ever have future problems. So its still not wasted which is good.
