Tune... Thanks man. If you can please send me some pics of the storm along with whatever you can make it RTR with. I would mostly bash it but would like to race it at the track as well. I would prefer not PS but just about any other method is ok. (I would need to get a starter box again though....)

Thanks again everyone. It sucks just laying around knowing the money I have sitting in bikes in the garage, and that I really am not allowed to even work on them right now. Well you guys wanted to see me back in the RC hobby......

Project ThunderStorm lives!

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - FreeRideFrosty - 07-13-2006

I had a storm so they do have a place in my heart. LoL As long as I can get it RTR with pretty decent servos, a solid motor with a good amount of life left (like a $100 OS RG or something) and the roller itse'f is in good shape I will probably go for it. Radio wise if I can get an FM reciever for the Airtronics Gabe gave me then I am ok there too...... People say the storm doesn't have the adjustability of a racer, but for as well as I know settings, it does. I would drive it as best as I could and it would be fine. I would be racing and that is good enough for me. Like I said..... non PS prefered. I do have 6-cell packs and a charger for roto starts, but no starter box right now.

Let me know what you guys can do for me. Like I said, it is something I would like to get back into, but don't really have any money right now, and can't work for at least a couple weeks. I have a bit, but not much. Help is appreciated. Thanks guys. :-D

I know someone who might want to be selling a maxx pretty cheap, doesn't sound what you are looking for though.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - Tex - 07-13-2006

He's getting a RTR 1/8 for $75, is the maxx like $50 or ??? j/k Traxxas_Junkee

So Dan, you need a FM RX that works with Air and you need any starter box? Tune said he'd give you a AM radio/receiver and servos, so all you really need is a starter box if you want to get down to it.

LOL@tex!

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - Tex - 07-13-2006

I'll take the maxx for $50 if Dan doesn't want it Wink

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - joey - 07-13-2006

i have a max i will sell for like 50 bones plus shipping the 2.5r is probably gummed up and needs taken aprt and cleaned but other than that should be fine. ????

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - Mr. Tune - 07-13-2006

The storm I have is currently a roller. I have few extra parts and titatium shock towers that were given to me from firesprink a while back. Wouldn't be right to charge more for the buggy due to free parts, lol, hence the cheap price.

To make it ready to run, I'd throw in the stocker B01 (.21) motor, and the oem AM radio and servo's that came with my revo.

The motor is PS (I don't have a rotor start for it), but it will start just fine on a starter box (that was the original reason I had the ofna chrome top for, lol).

The only issue, is the stock tires are a little on the bald side. And I don't have a spare hump pack to throw in it.

I'll get some pics of it this weekend. And post them in this thread. If you end up taking it, I'll make sure to tuen it up to make sure it runs and idles good.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - FreeRideFrosty - 07-13-2006

Thanks Tune!! I will probably end up taking it. I will need to pick up a glow starter and charger from someone and preferably a hump pack and charger, but that is still a good deal. Do you know how much fuel has been through the motor or how much life is left?? Tires don't really worry me either. For now I can play around here and find a set from someone on here when I can get out to the track. Does it have a body and everything?? Like I said.... I prefered non PS, but I guess it will work for now. I just figured with internal injuries it was best to no be yankin away. Again, I really appreciate it, and if I ever do end up selling it, it would be back to you, or to someone in the same ituation as I am now. Thank you so much.

And if anyone has a cheap glow ignitor and charger, and hump pack and charger, I would be very happy. (Cheap, but in good working order please).

Thanks for the help guys. I was seeing myself pulling my hair out in a few days.......

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - FreeRideFrosty - 07-13-2006

And Jerry you can PM me any info on the Revos. I highly doubt I have the money, but I was thinking of picking up a revo again if the deal walked along. I like scale though. :-D

I can't compete with Tunes deal thats for sure...That would be perfect to get you something quick and low budget. We can always discuss it later if your interested.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - Mr. Tune - 07-13-2006

Not sure how much fuel has been through it. My best guess is around 2 gallons. I'll know more this weekend when I checkout the buggy and get it ready for selling. I'll check how the pinch feels and open it up and look at the internals.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - thenewguy jr - 07-13-2006

i've never fallen that bad, but i've had a few bad falls. once i was doing 5 foot whoops and at the end of them there are two trees and i miss-judgedthe distance between them and got taken out due to my handlebars hitting a tree and i ended up with a bike laying on my shin and a deep gash in my shin. once i was coming down a 30 foot roll-in and my buddie ran infront of me and i went over my handlebars and badly hurt my jaw and lower back. and my worst one was when i wasn't paying attention to what i was doing, looked back, hit a bump and next thing i knew i was in the hospital getting an xray of my brain only to find out i had a concussion. the next day my friend who was riding with me told me i was clipped by a van. but on a good note, get well soon, and dont strain yourself or rush yourself. this will teach me that wearing a helmet isnt dumb, but wise especially when jumping. plus with me not being the best on my bike and not very good at jumping i gotta find my helmet when i jump.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - Ponch - 07-13-2006

Dan, PM me your adress and I'll ship you a glow ignitor lol...Takes AA's.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 07-13-2006

Note to self: Don't let sons jump bikes off ramps higher than one brick tall.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - FreeRideFrosty - 07-13-2006

LoL. You guys are funny. Thanks for the good comments. And Dave..... let them jump. It amazing fun. Just pad them up. Everyone.... wear a helmet. I went through a short stage where I thought I didn't and then wore one again, every time I rode. I value my head more than everyone elses opinion of me anyway. It may very well have saved my life.

And matt. Thanks so much. I will get you my address but you don't need to ship it out until I know for sure I am getting the buggy.

Other than that I am looking for a possible starter box, battery, and charger. I sold mine off pretty cheap and now am kind of kicking myself. That and a reciever pack and charger would be great. I am not looking for freebies..... but I really don't have much and would like to have something to do with my time.

Thanks again for everyones help.

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 07-13-2006

Dan try the TTR starter box its really cheap and its just a rebadged AE one anyway hahahah

I'm off my bike for a long time.... - FreeRideFrosty - 07-13-2006

But how much is really cheap?? And how much if you buy it for me as a "gift" and then I just pay you? Remember I need a charger and battery too.....
