Dimension rates have always been there for odd shaped items...like shipping a long tube. It's not new Mike. Just pass it along to the customer. It's only fair.

this is the first time ive ever been charged so much dave, I even sent a huge box of bodies and paint and stuff to joey in belgium and it cost less at the time for global priority. Ive shipped boxes that big with bodies before and its never been so much

i have been going thru this too...
had 2 boxes the same size, 1 going to kentucky and the other to NY.
one was 5 bux the other was 20.... WTF??? im surprised i didnt get thrown out of the post office.
she said it was the NY one was getting on a plane and the KY was not.
Mike if your shipping bodies, try to get em down to 20x10x6 or 7 and it will fall under the lower rate, or ship 2 boxes if it wont fit... its still cheaper which dont make sense as 2 boxes would take up ALOT more room than one that was 2 inches bigger....
