October Berwyn Bash! - UE-Maxx - 11-01-2005 Since everyone is talking about what they broke I will tell my story. Stripped carb where the HSN goes in. Cost $99.99. O.S. .18 CV-RX. Actually its only going to be 89.99 because I have an ad # for Tower. Firesprink, was that you with the red Jato? Not sure if anyone else had one there. October Berwyn Bash! - Tex - 11-01-2005 I thought the collari.30 was like $205 new??? October Berwyn Bash! - Ponch - 11-01-2005 Either way that sucks so bad....Hope it still works, that thing ripped. October Berwyn Bash! - UE-Maxx - 11-01-2005 Firesprink, I was watching you drive the Jato on the pavement. Man is that thing fast. Those weren't stock tires though where they? They looked like dirt hawgs. October Berwyn Bash! - firesprink281 - 11-01-2005 they are pro-line. i cant remember what ones. its one of there new tires. they are great!! i have never had a tire last so long on pavement. October Berwyn Bash! - SixVi6-Camaro - 11-01-2005 I think those were proline gladiators on the Jato.. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDX67&P=7 they are wicked all round tires. I didn't break anyhitng that was a day ender but I did spend most of my time getting my sturr all ready to run since I didn't have tome to wrench on them much before the bash. October Berwyn Bash! - firesprink281 - 11-01-2005 that them!! good call six. there is no way i would have remebered what tire anyone was running. October Berwyn Bash! - FreeRideFrosty - 11-01-2005 Damage fixed. It cost me $11 all together. That got me a new wing mount set ans some longer hex bolts with nuts. Good as new. I like how you polished the cooling head on the collari. October Berwyn Bash! - PoPRC - 11-01-2005 Was it blue, with like a push down kinda of thing to get the filter element out. Had like a black plastic cage with mesh type screening? If so, somebody found it and gave it to me, and I gave it to somebody else. October Berwyn Bash! - MyJeep - 11-01-2005 lol .. you owe him an air filter October Berwyn Bash! - SixVi6-Camaro - 11-01-2005 Its a very good idea to bend up a piece of wire to hold the filter in place. 1/8 buggies don't have problems with the filter comming off during silly jumping because the body holds it from moving around but trucks the filter bangs all over the place. I have a wire on both my landmax and truggy holding the filter steady. Here is a pic of what I did on the landmax using a Hyper 7 filter tube. the truggy is much the same but its currently using a standard filter elbow. I was thinking of having another wire where the pipe hanger wire is secured to the chassis October Berwyn Bash! - Ponch - 11-01-2005 Bend some rod and screw it in under one of the tranny screws... October Berwyn Bash! - SixVi6-Camaro - 11-01-2005 RobH Wrote:I was thinking of having another wire where the pipe hanger wire is secured to the chassis I did just that on my old SM and for a while I had the filter turned to the opposite side of the engine with a wire comming off the shock tower. either will work fine just as long it keeps the filter from moving around a lot on the hard landings. You can get the .32 for around $240 Either way, if its junk it's expensive.
