You guys may have mentioned this before, but what kind/size of wheel/tires do those cars run?

DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 Wrote:You guys may have mentioned this before, but what kind/size of wheel/tires do those cars run?

I believe they have their own size...but even though buggy size wheels/tires are a little bit bigger, they fit also. They help give the car some more top end too!
Im running used switch 2.0's I bought off of Mike Big Grin

i have proline raod rages on ofna rimms. they hold great and no balding.

Inferno GT guys... - Tex - 09-12-2006

I saw some guy up there with the infernoGT and he had foams the size of buggy rims.

Inferno GT guys... - thenewguy821 - 09-12-2006

Yeah, they make foams for them too. Any Buggy size rim will fit, which makes tire choice pretty open also. Some Buggy tires are a little on the taller side, but that helps with top speed a little. Just have to trim the body a little to clear them.

Inferno GT guys... - Obsessive R/C - 09-12-2006

Medial Pro makes a nice on-road style tire / wheel set for those...a bit shorter than std. buggy tires but same 17mm hex.

it's raining... Sad

Are you guys still planning on going out there.. please let me know. Don't want to make the hour drive out there if nobody is going to be there. Or worse yet.. not get a chance to race.

Brian

Inferno GT guys... - Eracer76 - 09-13-2006

Its still early...we'll just have to wait and see if the rain stops.
I wont be there till at least 4pm, maybe closer to 5pm if I dont get out of work early.
If its still raining by then, Im not going to make the drive either. Sad

Inferno GT guys... - bubbacola - 09-13-2006

He's right by I-355!

Is the Aresenal Road exit open now?

Inferno GT guys... - Brian_BigSquidRC - 09-13-2006

Have you ever driven on 55 around rush hour? it's bad. Sad
(Plus I'm downtown chicago for work)

Is Aresenal Road NOT open?? that's the only way I know how to get there!

if anyone can give me a heads up.. or another way to get there from Woodridge. (corner of 355 and 55)

Thanks.

Brian

Inferno GT guys... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 09-13-2006

I know it was closed for roadwork on Arsenal a while back, and people were using the Rt53 South from I-55 route.

Inferno GT guys... - bubbaracing - 09-13-2006

It was open last night at midnight when I was coming home from work. If someone wants to PM me there cell phone or home phone i'll be leaving for work in about a half hour? When I get to Arsenal i'll call whoever wants me too? LMK

Matt:headbang:

Inferno GT guys... - Eracer76 - 09-13-2006

Ive been taking I80 to rt53 south to Laraway Rd and turn right, take that until the second stop sign and turn left, take that until the next road and turn right...this is the road LH is on Smile

Inferno GT guys... - bubbacola - 09-13-2006

All roads are open

Inferno GT guys... - firesprink281 - 09-13-2006

my f*&%^% luck. me and newguy were on our way to the track , i stoped at dominicks to get gas and got a tank full of water. me and 3 other cars were dead in the parking lot. needless to say, we didnt make it out there.

Inferno GT guys... - Ponch - 09-13-2006

How the h3ll did you get a tank full of water!?! Did it mess up your car to any extent!!!?

Inferno GT guys... - Racin' Ranger1 - 09-13-2006

chris told me on the phone that that happened. whats dominicks gonna do for you???

Inferno GT guys... - thenewguy821 - 09-13-2006

Ponch Wrote:How the h3ll did you get a tank full of water!?! Did it mess up your car to any extent!!!?

There is a small retention pond right in front of the gass station, I am assuming the tanks are right under the pond. With all the flooding, I guess the water worked it's way into the fuel tanks. All 3 cars that died only made it 20-30 feet from the pumps before the engines died.

Dominicks said that if it comes back to Bad Fuel, they will cover the cost of repairs.

Inferno GT guys... - UE-Maxx - 09-13-2006

That sucks.

They should cover more than just the repairs.

Inferno GT guys... - Ponch - 09-13-2006

Would it be classified as "Bad Fuel" though? I mean, it wasn't bad....Just wet :p:

Inferno GT guys... - Tex - 09-13-2006

damn Bill! that stinks! if it comes to repairs....hahahahaha
repairs is an understatement

Inferno GT guys... - Brian_BigSquidRC - 09-13-2006

bummer! My guess is that dominicks probably waters down their gas, and just added a little to much.. a few cars die, they know to dial it back.

Missed you guys.. it was only me and Eric (Nice meeting ya!) then Eric left, and it was me. The whole track to myself! That was nice. The 1/7th was a blast! It looks like it's going slow because it's so big. I really only had issues with one turn, and that skinny pit-lane. ;0

The car is shifting a little late, or my low-end is a little off, but was still great fun.

Bernnie was talking about the spec class.. I told him to forget those Kyosho's and go 1/7th, or 1/5th! Wink

He did mention that if he does the spec class, it's going to be stock motors. Which is 100% reasonable, but how many people are going to be ok with that?

Brian

PS: the offroad track looked amazing! I so want to try it out!
