rocco79 Wrote:Dan ive had a mustang a cobra and a serious auto sickness. I used to get like 5 differnt auto and mustang mags. I used to be into auto tuning before this....

I also went to school for two years to be a auto mechanic

And I have been around cars since I was born and regularly work with my dad who has been ASE Master certified in over 10 different disciplines I believe... I know my way around a garage... I have worked on everything from my neighbors '63 stingray vette and '37 ford coupe, to our '71 rivierra with a 455 big block, to my Dad's Ram, and several of my friends cars... The joys of having nice tools and a well stocked, heated garage with music and a fridge...

A nice garage is a must! a sweeeet r/c work spot is My first priority

Official yack away thread - SixVi6-Camaro - 01-20-2006

heated garage... Wimp. I changed the fuel pump in my old camaro in the winter in the slanted driveway once. OK I did put a few heavy moving blankets over the car and brought an electric heater under the car. ok it sucked but hey I needed to have the car running. lol

Official yack away thread - rocco79 - 01-20-2006

The heater ignighted the gas fumes and blew up his old camaro . Thats why he has a new one ! LOL! j/k

Official yack away thread - FreeRideFrosty - 01-20-2006

LoL... believe me... we used to have a gravel driveway and now heat. Then it was asphault and kerosene/propane heaters, now a nice concrete driveway and a nice natural gas heater. It is deinitely nice to be able to walk out to the garage and turn up the heat and be comfortable. Plue my RC work space is right in front of the heater. Nice when it's cold and snowy out...

Official yack away thread - SixVi6-Camaro - 01-20-2006

lol! luckily that didn't happen.

That was my old LT1.. It got t-boned while parked in a court at a friends house. some drunk idiot turned into the court thinking it was a street and drove straight into the center of the door of the car.

Official yack away thread - rocco79 - 01-20-2006

F*%$kin drunks!

Official yack away thread - FreeRideFrosty - 01-20-2006

I'll remember that comment when we go to hooters. LoL... that is seriously shitty though. I have had to avoid a drunk driving on MY side of the road on 53. I cut over into his lane and just booked it around him before he knew what happened... then called the policia...

Official yack away thread - rocco79 - 01-20-2006

Mr. Tune Wrote:Ahhh, the days of 99cents for a gallon of gas. I miss those days Sad.

you wanna talk old fart memories...... I was paying 25cents/gallon in High School...1974.
New full size Pontiac Grand Ville for $4800 and it had a 455ci motor that got 8mpg!
But I think I was getting paid $2.65 an hour at Brown's Chicken, so it's all relative.
