My truggy was just as fast as my savage if not faster... I dont think a 2 speed adds that much on the top end... I think it just helps nitro engines build the torque they need down low with a lower ratio...

Im sure if you got those boas on youd be fine

Assuming you have a 46 tooth spur (stock kyosho) and a 16 tooth bell you are running a 2.8 ratio. Thats about 1.5 too low for runnign mt tires... I hope you have another $70 for a new clutch soon. Because you are going to smoke the clutch and over work your engine.....

But then again what do I know....LOL

4. You know how to ride your tri-cycle when your drunk.
5. You know how to lay the power down !!!
6. You know how to embalm some fresh meat.

Nuh unh!!! I got me some LSP ring and pinion gears so I can run this chit dude...:p:

Kanai II Truggy Buildup - cemeb4dk - 06-15-2006

LOL
That is the rario at your clutch.

Ask how many LSP drivers are running a 16t bell, and I bet zero. And we have your ring and pinions and a larger spur gear... I have a NR 528 and the most I ever ran was a 15.

But like I said before what do I know, just trying to save you some aggrevation but you obviously know more.... 8^)

So good luck!!!!!!!

Alright then... You are talking about running a 15t with regular sized tires though, right? Right now all I have to run is the komodo LP's and they're tiny.

Kanai II Truggy Buildup - Racin' Ranger1 - 06-15-2006

Kanai II Truggy Buildup - Ponch - 06-15-2006

Kanai II Truggy Buildup - kevinF - 06-15-2006

Kanai II Truggy Buildup - Ponch - 06-15-2006

Hey, my foams came in! My boas are all glued up and ready to run tonight.

If I do take video, I'll post it up.

Kanai II Truggy Buildup - Ponch - 06-15-2006

Uh-oh. I had a run away. Got about 40ft and then re-gained power. Thankfully, it jumped a little curb and ended up in a person down the street's lawn, about a foot away from their SUV tire. That could have been bad. I don't know what could have went wrong though, everything that should be loc-tighted is, all plugs are secure in the receiver, and there's no binding w/ the servos in motion. Ideas? It ran fine afterwards, no glitches or anything.

Do you think that mabye the metal gears (clutch and spur) are causing interference?
