Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - motoxer4life - 01-19-2008 Alright so ill get the 6c one wiht 3 on each side. Or is there any more esc's that are pretty good for starters? Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Ponch - 01-19-2008 I'm in a toss up between the xrs and the moped. Moped V16r Bravo ESC - $30 Shipped! - RCCrawler.com Bulletin Board Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - motoxer4life - 01-19-2008 Im definitely going with the xrs, i just remembered a long time ago when my bro got that electric truck, they came with that eas and it worked good, no problems. Whats better got the battery mounting, the delrin or the aluminum? This is what im getting: Axial AX-10 Scorpion Crawler Kit/ IN STOCK! Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Ponch - 01-19-2008 Cool... The XRS can handle up to 7 cells actually. Just got back from Leisure, picked up 6 oz of lead weights for the fronts and the Novak XRS, only $50 at leisure, I expected more tbh lol... The Novak 55t motor there though, they want $40 for it so I said no thanks for now, I'm just going to get it offline. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - AddictedtoNITRO - 01-19-2008 It amazes me how many people are jumping on the crawler bus now. I've wanted one for a LONG time since matt got his about a year ago. Was gonna pick one up with some tax money but maybe I'll just wait a little longer. The way things around these parts go there'll be 6 of them in the market place in 2 months lol. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Ponch - 01-19-2008 Sh!t better be fun lol... Quote:Products ordered Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - motoxer4life - 01-19-2008 What sites that from matt? And what do i want for the battery mounting stuff, delrin or aluminum?? Actually, there are 3 new "fullsize" trucks coming out this year and 1 new mini crawler... Axial is also releasing a truck aimed to compete with the Wk. What companys are introducing trucks? and by full size what is that? Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Jetboat - 01-19-2008 Kyosho has an offering that looks pretty cool, supposed to be a June 08 release, buggy type platform, rear dig and winching on the truck (at least in what we have seen so far). Cant reveal what I know about the one truck I know for sure about (sorry been sworn to secretcy). If you surf around on RCC some of the "beens" have been "spilled". Pti is coming out with a "Pro" version of the GRC ,rumor is better axles and more of a truck on par with the axial. Of course there is the new axial coming out, many of the same basic components but allot of the green aluminum is replaced with Plastic and supposedly open diffs to make it have "bashability" rather than a straight on crawler. The sport is growing leaps and bounds, you will see great growth over the next year or so. Its nice that hobby shops are starting to get involved now and realize how much the sport is growing. The HT comp was huge as far as a comp in our area goes and I only expect the next 1 to be larger. Ive been out today looking for outdoor comp spots (I think I may have frost bite on my ears) If I can get permission from the town to do a little clean up I may have found a good outdoor location but, its about 2hrs from Chicago. Im also hopeful that Chicago Underground will set something up. They have a LARGE indoor facility and could easily accomidate a huge course. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - bubbaracing - 01-19-2008 I just talked to Bernie at Leisure Hours Raceway and he said yes to doing the outdoor crawlin area next to the on-road course. It will serve 2 purposes, 1st crawlin course, 2nd run off area for the water from the off-road and on-road! I told him i'm all for helping build it and i'm sure some of you guys would be willing to help do it too! LMK whowants to help do this when the weather warms up! Thanks! Matt Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - AddictedtoNITRO - 01-19-2008 count me in too help if I can get out of the house Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Ponch - 01-19-2008 motoxer4life Wrote:What sites that from matt? And what do i want for the battery mounting stuff, delrin or aluminum?? That's all from The Crawler Store. (The Crawler Store LLC) I got the delrin set because it was cheaper and in stock (aluminum was a little less than double the price, and out of stock). Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - BJoe - 01-19-2008 I think the delrin tray would be better from a battery short perspective over the aluminum one. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Ponch - 01-19-2008 That's a good point too Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - BJoe - 01-20-2008 Somebody on RCCrawler had that happen a while back, I'll see if I can find the thread. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Mnster - 01-20-2008 So uhhhh, when is the next comp? Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Jetboat - 01-20-2008 last I spoke with Mike he said mid feb, this time they should have a full stock of parts and tires. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - Ponch - 01-20-2008 Man... Can we make it early february? And do you know if the owner would care if we had a "meet up" at the crawler course one night? just throw down some gates and see who can make it.. Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - bubbaracing - 01-20-2008 Yep early Feb would be better cause i'm leavin the 22nd on vacation! Chicaolands first indoor comp!!! - J-Dub - 01-20-2008 I think the Philly Cheese sandwiches at LHR rock the Rib sandwiches. Though they are both good.
