Maybe we should start videotaping each race and then hand out the penalties the following week.

I think a similar system of docking a lap off for the people who pack up, leave, and don't marshall the next race would work. If you're not on your assigned cone John jots it down and you get docked next time you show up.

Indoor racing is ugly , 1/8 , truggy , monster truck , any times there is high bite . Every track i raced at its that way , probally 75 % of the time its not intentional . Good thing is that a copuple people who were driving rough apologised to me , which i really respect . I did take a couple people out too , intentionaly , but they had it coming and the race director said nothing to them on the multiple times it happened , so I did them what they did to me. PWNED !!! Frankly I dont give a shit , you take me out and drive like a chuck ill return the favor , if you race me clean ill race clean . Im not gonna lose any money if i dont finish well , im there to have fun , I got lots of parts and they make more .

racing 12/17 - rocco79 - 12-18-2006

well somthing has to been done about the hacking... Whats to be gained by the other drivers who arent hacking? Nothing...
When in Rome...

Before the state race i was there for a club race and it was absoulutley horrible... I was getting hacked like people were racing to win $100,000 for a 1st place finish....
I am NOT the cleanest driver but if i hack someone or cut a tube I WAIT FOR THE PERSON I HACKED OR CUT OFF. WHAT YOUR SUPPOSED TOO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your not just supposed to hop a tube and take off or use someones truck as a bumper to help you make a turn....

racing 12/17 - rocco79 - 12-18-2006

Eddie i was typing my response while you posted yours... I couldnt agree more... We have similar thoughts!

racing 12/17 - Casketman - 12-18-2006

8 wheels turn better then 4 Big Grin

racing 12/17 - Eddie F - 12-18-2006

I know that stuff dont fly in gas truck or touring car , if it gets ugly like that then its time for marshals top be equiped with brooms , dustpans and a bucket to put broken cars in .

racing 12/17 - mikeL - 12-18-2006

You don't want us to video tape, Bruce.

racing 12/17 - kevinF - 12-18-2006

hahahaha ^^^^

I meant that as a joke. But I do think the idea of docking laps off the next race if someone doesn't marshall is a viable solution to the problem.

racing 12/17 - Eddie F - 12-18-2006

Isnt that the rule and is discussed in the drivers meeting , just need to enforce the rule ,not the racers problem .

I'm talking about marshalling after you run your main.

racing 12/17 - FreeRideFrosty - 12-19-2006

Well I can say that I do the best I can. I am new to the class, and have not had a lot of track time recently. I tried to move out of the main line when people came up, and don't think I drove through anyone.... Buggy was bad, but was still nothing compared to UMT. Each higher main was rediculous. I am really not sure what to do to fix it though.

racing 12/17 - Ponch - 12-19-2006

Dan you did alot better once we changed the setup some on that buggy, still a little loose, but that's better than not being able to turn at all.

racing 12/17 - FreeRideFrosty - 12-19-2006

Yeah.... I think it was a little tight actually. I like driving with it loose for the most part. But I wouldn't know how it was driving because you had to run my last qualifier........

racing 12/17 - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-19-2006

It reads like the start might have been a chaotic deal. Is there any further thoughts on a different start method to space out the trucks at the start? It would suck to do all the work to qualify 1,2,3,4, high up, just to have a 7,8,9 place guy come wailing in from behind on the first turn. Now I know everyone in the past said a delayed leave puts the lower guys too far behind, but isn't where (just maybe) they belong?

racing 12/17 - Sh1nn3r - 12-19-2006

I think the problem lies at the start of the race. Everyone is so close together at the start and the announcer says go everyone just floors it running into each others rear ends, because inevitably some people cheat a little bit and go before the announcer really says go and others might wait a ½ second longer. They should have the start more staggered for example the announcer says #1 go #2 go #3 go #4 go and so… or some kind of delay so it doesn’t get ass jam packed right at the start going around a corner.

Just my thoughts...

racing 12/17 - FreeRideFrosty - 12-19-2006

The problem with that is that I doubt you will hear it and everyone will go as it it now. A stagered gate system would be best..... but it can get expensive, and difficult to move around with all of the track changes.
