big boy class for me next year for sure...i would hate to see my points get wasted. Wink

IL pro series Rd 2 - Casketman - 06-18-2007

I can see a bump for myself next year also. This is my first year out. My first time dealing with a big race of any kind besides a race at LHR.

IL pro series Rd 2 - rocco79 - 06-18-2007

We all told ya to take the plunge...

IL pro series Rd 2 - chickenfarmer3 - 06-18-2007

i know......i honestly didnt think i would do so well.

IL pro series Rd 2 - Mr. Tune - 06-18-2007

lol, you should have known! I made the A in sportsman (truggy) at every round last year. Even made the A at the finals! Since we're at similar skill levels, where should you have been??

Only reason I ran it again this years was due to running buggy for the first time. I belong in sportsman buggy, and I can't run it there unless I run truggy in sportsman too.

LOL, well that was another reason too.

hey slim have any good pictures of the race??? thought i saw you taking pictures

IL pro series Rd 2 - Casketman - 06-19-2007

I am sure he is working on them. But I cant wait to see what he has.

IL pro series Rd 2 - HAGASAN - 06-19-2007

Sportsman class makes sense for REAL newbies to racing. Sorry Chadley, Drew and Dimo, you guys are not new to racing. You all have racing skills from experience and can run with the faster guys no problem. Sportsman class is not for you. Its for new guys/kids that are new to racing. I watch those races and i see guys like Chad just smoke the competition because the newbies are giving it full throttle into every corner or jumping right off the track. How can you be proud of a win with competition like that? You guys are too good for that class.

Mikey is right too, you race with faster guys and you get faster as well.

this yr was my first yr at racing I started this last winter at the local indoor track racing 1/8 buggy I ran MT prior...so sportsman1/8 is for me...I will def. be making the jump to pro next yr. as I am doing very well when my equip. is working haha.

IL pro series Rd 2 - slim - 06-19-2007

after this last performance... can i go to intermediate? lol

i still think they should change the title to BEGINNER and that would DEF weed out cherry pickers...

IL pro series Rd 2 - blktransam - 06-19-2007

slim u were doing well until u flammed out...

IL pro series Rd 2 - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-19-2007

joe uh did you uh just say i was like right about something????? Smile

IL pro series Rd 2 - mikeL - 06-19-2007

None of you have hit on why there are intermediate classes. The $. It gets more people to the track. Nothing wrong with that. It takes money to keep a track open, even for a club track, more so for a business like LHR.

IL pro series Rd 2 - rocco79 - 06-19-2007

thats all well and good ... Were just trying to get slackers like drew, dimo and chad too set-up!

IL pro series Rd 2 - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-19-2007

and cut the mains down so i dont have to spend 30 hours for a one day race lol

IL pro series Rd 2 - mikeL - 06-19-2007

I hear ya Rocco. I know what you saying Mike, but that would only keep some racers away. You won't spend a 30 hour day at all tracks. I know one that gets things done pretty quick.

IL pro series Rd 2 - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-19-2007

ya you're right dirtburners does run a pretty good program Smile

IL pro series Rd 2 - Casketman - 06-19-2007

But that is the thing we have to remember. When the pro series rolls in. It is their program. Not the tracks. They use their stuff, their rules and so on.

IL pro series Rd 2 - blktransam - 06-19-2007

cant we all just have fun and get along....pros or joes it keeps the sport growing and tracks open.

IL pro series Rd 2 - rocco79 - 06-19-2007

Good point

Nobody is saying anything about local tracks goof... LH doesnt run a sportsman class! We are talking about rcps!

IL pro series Rd 2 - chris arnold - 06-19-2007

rcp state races are run by the club, teh regional races send a rep and all that garb

IL pro series Rd 2 - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-19-2007

ur wrong chris

IL pro series Rd 2 - Casketman - 06-19-2007

Yeah,I didnt think he was right. I do remember hearing rick at glitchers wanted to water around the pipes and he was told no.

I dont think the track and track people are kicked out of the car. But from how I heard it,it sounds like they do basicly hand over the keys and take a back seat.

IL pro series Rd 2 - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-19-2007

mikey paige's mom and that Larry dude ran this race and will run all the rcp state races
