enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - thenewguy821 - 11-17-2008 If the war was under false pretenses, truly has not been proven. To anyone who feels that Husein didn't have WMD's (I f-ing hate that term) I have a bridge I'd gladly sell them. To think that was the only reason for going into Iraq, is also wrong. During our trrops invasion of Afghanistan, DAILY, Husein threatened war with the US if we didn't pull out of Afghan. After 2 weeks of this, it was announced that Hussein declared war against us. At that point, it is the President's (and Congress's) job to protect American civilians, and try to keep the war off our soil. If Obama was to pull all the troops out, that would be one thing. But to pull out all but 10,000 troops, by a set date, is telling them when to plan their attack. There will be more American soldiers that get killed under Obama's plan, than have been killed in the entire war so far. As for keping a small presense there year round, Ron Paul said it best. If ANY other country on earth was to build a military base in America, and station XXX,XXX number of troops here, We'd be pissed as hell and take that as a sign of intimidation, resulting in possible war. So, why is it OK for America to station troops in all these other countries? I am in no way pro-war. I hate that our soldiers have sacrificed their lives over there, and for what reason? BUT, before 9/11, on average, there was some form of attack on US soil, funded by the middle east terrorists, every couple years. One, being the attack on the USS Cole. When the ship was attacked, Clinton shook his finger at Iraq and said Don't do that. Wow.. That was helpfull. SINCE 9/11, there has not been one successful attack on american soil. Every other country who has pulled their troops from Iraq, was immediately attacked on their land. enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - mikeh - 11-17-2008 I just hope you all have learned your lessen by the next term and back this country up by voting for Sarah Palin for 2012! Hopefully it won't be too late by then! enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - stratcat - 11-17-2008 wow... you guys are still carrying on about this stuff.... whatever... we're all in the same boat, it's time to get over whatever our hangups are and right or wrong do this as a country, not I or ME but as a damned united bunch of people, and it starts right here, supporting the person we put in office, after all, we did this as a nation.... Roc, a desert eagle, impressive..... why in .40 though.. that's like a cannon that houses a .22 barrel (just kiddin' dude) and this whole Iraq thing... we need to finish it once and for all... I was there in the early 90's, now a bunch of new kids are there now, we need to not leave until it's finished, we don't want another bunch of kids to have to go over in another 10 yrs! (everything else about the warmongering, well, I don't know what to think, there's a lot or REAL threats out there (present and future)) enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - stratcat - 11-17-2008 mikeh Wrote:I just hope you all have learned your lessen by the next term and back this country up by voting for Sarah Palin for 2012! Mike, man, if you are going to scold us, at least spell LESSON right :joy: enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - AddictedtoNITRO - 11-17-2008 One of the problems with the war is that we only know what the criminal liberal media tells us. One of my best friends was in Iraq and won't tell me stuff he's forbidden to tell. All he says is that if america knew what was really happening and what is really there the whole country would want to turn it to a parking lot. The contents of his secret missions are fobidden from public for his life. The sentance for blabbing would probably result in his life. Obviously it's serious stuff. He was in downtown bagdad and in sadaam's house. Do you think they would just go out telling everyone "hey yep we found 6 nukes today" no they are not. They may not have found actuall bombs or maybe they did. I don't know and probably never will. Either way from what I've heard first hand from the guys that have been there, The citizens want us there. They huddle around us like we are their gods. When we are in their presence they feel uplifted like they have a chance at life. They are showered with gifts and foods. Then there is the few radicals. out of 100 Iraqi's maybe MAYBE 10 don't want us there. Either way, It's war and there will never be a right and wrong way to do it. Stay and we are stupid and trying to be a bully. Leave and we are the worlds pussys. enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - AddictedtoNITRO - 11-17-2008 mikeh Wrote:I just hope you all have learned your lessen by the next term and back this country up by voting for Sarah Palin for 2012! But seriously. I was so dissapointed in McCains campaign. And Palin!!?? WTF. I truly hope the GOP can find their roots again. They lost me with W, the "hammer", Scalia, Hariet Myers, Enron, Halliburton, etc, etc. Sure we all know about the GOPs SOCIAL conservativism, but what ever happened to FISCAL conservativism and small govornment? Get with the program and loose the religious fringe for crying out loud! enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 11-18-2008 rocco79 Wrote:ITS NOT OUR FIGHT THE U.S IS NOT THE WORLDS LIFE GAURD!!!! I figured Velocity of a 9mm and the stopping power of a .45. I was thinking best of both worlds. (so i was told by a few sources) All i know is its mega accurate for a hand gun. Way more than a glock... But it weighs more so that helps keep that muzzle from moving around. I figured a weapon made by israelis would be the way too go... Cuz those guys are always ready to fight!!! enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - rocco79 - 11-18-2008 slaytanic Wrote:As good as it sounds, isolationism is a BAD idea. I understand that... i just meant as far as fighting on so many fronts and for what?? enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - thenewguy821 - 11-18-2008 Teh Desert Eagle is a great gun, I have only fired it in .50 cal though. If you ask me, that was a bit overkill. Kicks like a mule, muzzle flash 2 1/2 ft long, and loud as hell. What would anyone need a .50 for? Home protection? I don't think so. I can see the altercation now. "Hold on mr. burgular, I have to get my hearing protection." In a range, the gun is too loud, with muffs on. Imagine in a house, no hearing protection. Temporary deafness lasting a week. I personally like the XD. Never seen a negative review about it, and most of the guys who review the gun refuse to turn it back in after the review, opting to buy it instead. enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - J-Dub - 11-18-2008 rocco79 Wrote:.40 no good??? I figured Velocity of a 9mm and the stopping power of a .45. I was thinking best of both worlds. (so i was told by a few sources) Isreal makes some of the best firearms in the world. They have a new Urban Assault Rifle out, The same barrel length as say, an m4 or m16, but the smaller size of like, an MP5 or something similar. they put the barrel back into the butt of the rifle. Pretty awesome if I do say so. If you're getting or got a desert eagle I've read if you don't use the right ammunition it jams because the powder charge in some bullets are too small. enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - J-Dub - 11-18-2008 rocco79 Wrote:Then i guess its time we put our priorities into protecting our borders, freedoms and beliefs ... I figured Velocity of a 9mm and the stopping power of a .45. I was thinking best of both worlds. (so i was told by a few sources) nah man, I was messin' with you, the Desert Eagle is a beautiful firearm, top of the line dude, and you're right about the .40 round... I prefer the .45, the way it feels and all, the Eagle is too big for me to feel comfortable with in my hand (could be some getting used to), it's not the weight, I shoot my contender with 14" barrel just fine.... my 9's don't have the same feel as the .45... and the glock is an absolute love/hate relationship! (currently hate unless needed) my next new gun will be either another Volquartsen or a Kimber.... enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - rocco79 - 11-18-2008 Its a "Baby" eagle.. The smaller of the two frames.... I guess i should have stated that earlier.. Here is a pic of what i have only mine is nickel plated Oh and its true... If you dont use shells with enough powder it will stove pipe all day... The range ammo at JR shooting sports sucks!!! world.guns.ru/ handguns/jericho03b.jpg enjoy life as you know it cause it's over - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 11-18-2008 fighting on so many fronts? the pos you voted for could care less about the 'poor huddled masses" hoping the fence and cutting lawns for torres.
