Truck arrived today at 7:30pm! I'm excited about building my first kit! Waiting on the screw kit to arrive before I start Smile.

Kyosho ST thread - chickenfarmer3 - 10-16-2006

incase you guys didnt see it.

Kyosho ST thread - Casketman - 10-16-2006

From what I see and hear. You need it. And a bigger fuel tank too! Smile

Kyosho ST thread - chickenfarmer3 - 10-16-2006

naa, just a motor that i am used too, or a pit stop. lol. think i could have still finished 2nd with a pit stop, oh well live and learn, it was still a blast actually being in a spot other than the back.

Kyosho ST thread - Stahoo - 10-16-2006

What exactly is the benefit/difference in the BCE chassis when compared to the standard chassis?

Just curious.

Kyosho ST thread - chickenfarmer3 - 10-16-2006

little bit longer, stonger than the stock one, wont flex in the middle as much as stock. and not like it matters but it looks cool. lol

Kyosho ST thread - Stahoo - 10-16-2006

Thanks for the information.

Could you provide me the link/contact info for BCE just in case I want to head that route too?

Thanks,
Kevin

Kyosho ST thread - chickenfarmer3 - 10-16-2006

best way is to email him and tell him what you want, he is kinda slow on getting stuff out but it is worth the wait. [email protected].

Kyosho ST thread - HAGASAN - 10-16-2006

From speaking with Ryan Lutz, he told me its really not needed. The BCE chassis is nice but its not a must have. The Stock is just fine. I wouldnt go out and buy it just because everybody else is. I mean it my help alittle but it wont be a drastic improvement. The stock chassis works just fine. Also why would you need a new fuel tank?

Kyosho ST thread - chickenfarmer3 - 10-16-2006

HAGASAN Wrote:Also why would you need a new fuel tank?

he was just talking smack because i ran outta fuel in my main sunday, too stubborn to pit, and thoght i could make it... nope. Big Grin

Kyosho ST thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-16-2006

Joe i see ur point, but u really think lutz would say a kyosho needs non kyosho parts?

Kyosho ST thread - Tex - 10-16-2006

bingo!

Kyosho ST thread - HAGASAN - 10-17-2006

He drove Walkers ST-R and didnt see the big difference. He gave me his opinion and said hes not going to get one. From what i can tell from the guys that have spoke highly of the BCE chassis are in fact sponsored by them, aleast some of the guys i know. Im sure its a great chassis but unlike some other cars, its really not that important to upgrade and at $140 for the chassis its not cheap by no means. I thnk back to my T-maxx days and the thousands of cash i spent on that thing to make it the latest and greatest with all the supposedly go-fast goodies, i kick myself in the ass now as i took most of that crap off and used only the minimum needed to make that tank handle somewhat good. I geuss what im trying to say is, save the money and practice, try to be consistent, drive smarter, etc. The ST-R is a top-line car and the stock chassis is proven, and works great. Besides, this aint no TTR where you HAVE to get another chassis. Wink

As for Lutz and his recommendations. You guys have to understand how he is, hes a simple guy. He runs his stuff stock, even when he ran Mugens. Hes sponsored by Panther 100%, he pays nothing, but he only orders a few sets of tires a year when other guys order by the cases. Last year in WV he ran 1 set of tires the whole damn weekend, 1 set of PL Crimes in XTR compound, He pitted out the back of his truck on a cooler at rnd1, he just doesnt go all out like most of us, he just doesnt see the need too.
So take that Bingo back Tex. LOL

Kyosho ST thread - Mr. Tune - 10-27-2006

Finally got my ST-R done. Just in time for the fall classic at lh. It's gonna be fun getting my butt kicked while I learn to wheel this thing Smile.

Kyosho ST thread - cemeb4dk - 10-27-2006

Looks good John..

Is it the picture or are the front springs whiter?

Kyosho ST thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-27-2006

^good eyes

Kyosho ST thread - Mr. Tune - 10-27-2006

Good eye. The rear sprints are a little darker than the front springs. I'm assuming this is normal? Feels fine to me.

Kyosho ST thread - Mr. Tune - 10-27-2006
