i personally have had the 10" in my regular cab Dakota for about a week now. it sounds great. ive got it in a sealed box about .9 cu ft. im going to make a either a smaller sealed or a larger ported box to see how it sounds tonight.

Is a touch screen any more complicated to put it than just a regular radio? Also can you take the faceplate off like a regular after market radio?

Got the box built saturday with John aka destroymyrevo, carpeted it myself last night. Turned out pretty well for my first box, looks pretty BA too.

Official Car Audio Thread - rocco79 - 10-14-2007

can i have it? Ill be your friend...

Official Car Audio Thread - Michowski - 10-14-2007

it installs the same. Only difference is you got an extra wire for your parking brake which turns off the picture while your driving (its the law). I hooked mine up to a switch and did a little rewiring so I can watch movies on the go right now.

Any suggestions a amp to power some Alpine frt 6 1/2 type R components and rear 6 3/4 2 way Type R's

I'm not looking for top of the line stuff here, but a good quality amp. under 200 dollar range. maybe like a Alpine F550 ? I think thats the model

Head unit is a Pioneer 5900

Official Car Audio Thread - destroy_my_revo_15 - 10-14-2007

thats what im planning on running when i get the money, snakebite.

Official Car Audio Thread - UE-Maxx - 10-14-2007

I know dual is bad. lol My buddy has two dual 12's that just sound like crap. I wouldn't consider them subs, more like just a noise maker.

Know anything about jensen? I was looking at this.

Jensen 7" LCD

hey guys, I have a 99 chrysler sebring lxi. My stereo equip is giving me shit. I can't afford to take it anywhere, so if I could meet up with someone who can help, I'd greatly appreciate anyone willing to give me some of their time.

Official Car Audio Thread - destroy_my_revo_15 - 10-14-2007

whats it doing? anything?

With my old stereo, the front speakers weren't getting any sound, but the speakers are fine. It was determined that the radio was the problem. I got my hands on a new radio, different model, and I can't even get it to turn on. I followed the wiring diagram.

Official Car Audio Thread - destroy_my_revo_15 - 10-14-2007

a new stock radio?

Official Car Audio Thread - RobH - 10-14-2007

no
phase linear ump8015

My uncle pulled it from his pt cruiser, which is supposed to use the same stereo wiring as a sebring

Check your wiring harness plug thingy for any cracks and that all the individual plugs are not stretched/cracked etc...

Official Car Audio Thread - RobH - 10-14-2007

Ponch Wrote:Check your wiring harness plug thingy for any cracks and that all the individual plugs are not stretched/cracked etc...

they are all fine.

I think I'd rather build several differentials than do the wiring one more time.

Official Car Audio Thread - snakebite46 - 10-14-2007

Does that Sebring have Infinity sound system ? Check the factory amp.

Official Car Audio Thread - FreeRideFrosty - 10-14-2007

Sometimes with factory radios there is a code or something and they will go into a security mode and not work when removed fron one car and put in another. You may need to contact a dealer with any info on the radio (number on the back?) to find out.

Official Car Audio Thread - Michowski - 10-14-2007

I would have to say dual makes a good radio. A lot of people have recommended it/run it and so far I say its ok. Havent had it long to give it the 2 year test but there radio's seem good.

Official Car Audio Thread - Ponch - 10-14-2007
