Kyosho Ultima - north_shore_racer - 09-10-2005 so i was at my aunt and uncles house watching their kids while they went to a movie, and b4 they left my uncle was like just wait here....he dissapeared into his basement then comesback with a box with a kyosho ultima from like 1989 its so cool he said its a little broken but i think i can fix it http://photobucket.com/albums/b72/north_shore_racer/?sc=3 hopefully that works for pics....if not just tell me and i will fix it John Kyosho Ultima - Mnster - 09-11-2005 Looks good that was my first real r/c. It looks complete. If you are missing a few chassis parts I could maybe help you out. I bought mine at a estate auction for $20. The buggy handles really good actually. The stuff is getting rare though. Most of the parts are interchangeable with the Kyosho outrage series trucks. My uncle did the same to me, He came over one day with a big box. A complete RTR Tamiya bruiser for free gotta love that. Kyosho Ultima - north_shore_racer - 09-11-2005 ya i mean if u have spare parts that u dont want i would love to buy them from you so that i have extras all i have to figure out is the controller issue, does urs have a huge controller like that cuz all i need to kno is how it is supplied power i mean there r like 2 plug things on the side of iot but i dont kno where those plugs would go out to. Kyosho Ultima - More Juice - 09-15-2005 old school... I like. You should probably hang on to that car. It will be a classic one day =). ________ FirmnTastyAss Kyosho Ultima - mikeh - 09-15-2005 It looks like mine. I still have it. A 1987 Ultima. It was very fast and competative for its time. I raced mine for a bit, but lost interest. I was just a kid with one car, two batteries and a small toolbox, and smaller wallet. Competing with adults with much bigger pockets, turbo 400 equipment, multiple cars, motors etc. But I could place now and then, and it was fun. Still got mine, with lots and lots of random parts. Wheels, tires, unopened packages of stuff and, of course, my big a** Futaba remote. Its the size of a microwave oven LOL! The remote in your picture should run with 8 AA batteries. The things on the side are charging jacks for rechargable Tx packs. Kyosho Ultima - north_shore_racer - 09-20-2005 ya i figured i could put batteries in it but where??? if i find this out it seems liuke it should run fine! Kyosho Ultima - mikeh - 09-21-2005 That is one old school Futaba remote! Mine is just like it, but with a big wheel in the center of it. To put batteries in mine I have to pull off the entire back of the remote. It should be just friction held on. Kyosho Ultima - north_shore_racer - 09-25-2005 i did that then theres a black box that ima unscrw that looks like it would hold 8 aa cells but iono... Kyosho Ultima - mikeh - 09-25-2005 Yes, thats it. Put 8 AA batteries in there and it will work. Kyosho Ultima - north_shore_racer - 09-25-2005 cool i gotta try that tmo when my pack is chaarged... |
