LRP/Associated Customer Service - bandit - 10-05-2005 Well, I already have a LRP IPC Pro Sport ESC for brushed motors and have no problems with it, I would have to say it has out perform all Novaks I have had in the past (Duster, Rooster, Cyclone). Nothing against Novak, I mean because I put a mamba in my old M18 I the Mirco GT ESC and if was awesome. Anyway since I have a good experince with LRP before I purchased the Sphere Brushless Speed control for my TC4, with the Reedy Neo motor. Well I had the thing a week and it was overheated. I had someone at Al's check it (since Joe was off at Hobbytown, and don;t know really tom many other staffers there yet), and it had it setup correctley. I called Associated and they asked me to send it in. I got it back last week, and hooked it up again. The same thing again, I mean the ESC got so hot that is warped the chassis. I called Assocaited again and sent them picture of the damage. They told to send the esc back to them and they would refund my money and send me a new chassis for the TC4, at no charge. The UPS guy just dropped it off. So personally I think thats some good customer service, I never had any problems dealing with Associated, Kyosho and Traxxas on the other hand. I still would like to run a brushless in my TC4, so I looking at novak now. Any suggestions on which one would be good, I mean I just started with on-road this year so I'm not perfect(I've always been an off-road fan). LRP/Associated Customer Service - PoPRC - 10-05-2005 Go here: RC10GT Forums Great forum dedicated to the RC10GT and all things Team Associated. LRP/Associated Customer Service - Tex - 10-05-2005 he runs a TC4 electric TC. I'm sure they have a TC4 forum there also. LRP/Associated Customer Service - PoPRC - 10-05-2005 Ya they do, but no one has ever posted in it. So IDK how much help will be there. LRP/Associated Customer Service - bandit - 10-06-2005 Now I looking into a Novak brushless (the Super Sport Plus with 5800 motor), and wondering if anybody had any trouble with this setup? LRP/Associated Customer Service - Tex - 10-06-2005 There was troubles here and there when they came out over 2 years ago but all the bugs have been worked out and you shouldn't have any probs. LRP/Associated Customer Service - bandit - 10-06-2005 very cool, just have to visit tower and submit my order. Didn't Al's give you their time and try to help you out at no charge? If we don't patronize our local hobby shops they are going to disappear. LRP/Associated Customer Service - Tex - 10-07-2005 Yeah, go to the LHS and buy it. It's worth the extra $5 or whatever. Last time I saw Novak 5800SS at Al's it was $235 Support your local hobby shop! LRP/Associated Customer Service - bandit - 10-07-2005 Yeah, I forgot that Al's price matches tower so I think I will, cause they did help out quite a bit. I haven't ordered it yet, have to wait till next friday. So we will see. LRP/Associated Customer Service - maxximum_44 - 10-07-2005 Does Al's really price match w/ Tower? Im going to be there tommorow! LRP/Associated Customer Service - bandit - 10-07-2005 Yup, if you have the speedmart magizine, or if they look it up for you, they will. Thats how I got my TC4, al's had for 235 and tower had for 209, and Al's matched it. They diffently rock, but I haven't been the Lesiure Time Hobbies (At least the shop) yet.
