call me crazy - squirrel - 10-27-2005 ok, i've had this idea since the last showdown in sep. and firesprink has pushed me to do it (not really but he needs comp.) at the last showdown i was beat in the special olympics class (a.k.a. stadium trucks) so i decided i was going to put a big block on my xxx-nt. i mocked it up today and if i can find the right clutchbel/clutch it is possible with little mod to the chassis. i already know that doing this will blow the entire drive train but in the pursuit of happiness it will be worth it! if anyone has any suggestions on how i can make this easier on the drivetrain lmk! btw i also know it's not legal to race but wtf it will be cool!!!! call me crazy - satoch - 10-27-2005 It'll hook up even worst than a Jato if that's possible! call me crazy - squirrel - 10-27-2005 yeah but it will be fun!!! i can't really imagine trying to drive it on a track! thats why i would like to be able to take the big block off and run a .12 on there for racing! would be crazy at a bash! call me crazy - FreeRideFrosty - 10-27-2005 Good luck. I put a .18 on my GT before I traded it and that thing was wickid fast. It would pull a wheelie at 30 or so with no problem... and go much faster. It did screw with the trans a bit though. Had to rebuild it a LOT. I could probably do it in my sleep now. But I am happy with my buggy. (But would rather have a MT now... I'm one confused S.O.B.) call me crazy - looker2756 - 10-30-2005 I had an .18 on my XXX-Nt & it was almost un-drivable. If you were on loose stuff you could balloon the rear tires at 30 & would loose it almost every time. I'm glad the truck could handle flipping. I took it off & put one of my old trx .15 engines on it. I have 3 TRX .15's that are very strong & this one is best. It's still planty fast & now you can drive it. I really can't even imagine a big block. I want to see a video of it running in a straight line :bustingup call me crazy - Tex - 10-30-2005 just put a os18TZ on there with rotary carb and be done with it. As you were saying Tommy, I'm sure you are going to blow drivetrain. Just like I do with a P5 Revo. call me crazy - squirrel - 10-30-2005 i'm doing this for the fun! handling or not!!!! if i was worried about handling you think i would have got a stadium truck :bustingup ! just interested in the wow factor! p.s. video of it going in a straight line :bustingup :bustingup :bustingup :bustingup :bustingup :bustingup |
