introductions - JOE - 12-01-2005 Hi everyone, Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself in case anybody was wondering just who the heck I am. As you can see i just recently joined the forum but I do not hail from the Chicago or even Illinois for that matter, i joined becuase this is probably one of the most informative and entertaining forums i have found in vast quest for rc knowledge. I am in the army and i have been stationed overseas for 5 years now and am quite new since i bought my t-maxx in april 05 then shortly after bought my revo, when i bouught my t-maxx i just bought it because it was cool, and something to do while i was on leave, but when i starting researching and found out they actually race them i really caught the bug and got my revo but the army kinda keeps me busy and so i have spent most of my time doing research i just recently stripped down the revo and ordered the new goodies to make it more race worthy. I'm not sure if i will be able to put it back together lol and now im looking for some tracks over here in Europe, but it seems like the like mostly electric and on orad racing so i might have some trouble there. So thanks for all the Great Info. and i will be posting some pics of my revo when i get it finished. introductions - snakebite46 - 12-01-2005 alute: Welcome to the board. There are a lot of tracks in Europe. Depends on where you are. Mr. Tune: Thanks and did you ever finish the "Darth Revo?" i don't remember that thread went on forever i think. introductions - SixVi6-Camaro - 12-01-2005 Wow we must be doing someting right here.. Welcome to the boards! introductions - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-01-2005 and we're "entertaining" !!!! thank goodness we aren't stuffy know-it-alls !!! just nice know-it-alls introductions - JOE - 12-01-2005 ya its amazing what you can pick in forums, for example, like the weak link on the revo.....from what i've read has to be stock shocks, (don't seem like they are up to taking a beating) and the stock trx 2.5 r engine, some poeple have trouble with the carbs some they over heat and some they just seem to flame out in the middle of a race. I personally dont like the drive shafts only becuase they are plastic and i snapped one of the ones in my t-maxx twisted right off lol and i wasn't even bashing it that hard but a lot of people run the revo drive shafts and have no problems with them oh well i guess its just what one person likes i guess. im trying to decide my chassis layout right now. Really like how bobby moores truck was setup, simple yet effective (plus he's a hell of a driver ) any suggestions are welcome. introductions - Tex - 12-02-2005 alute: Welcome to the board soldier introductions - JOE - 12-02-2005 Thank you very much. introductions - Notochord - 12-02-2005 is ur name just Joey Revo backwards??? introductions - JOE - 12-03-2005 ya looks like you figured me out introductions - Mr. Tune - 12-03-2005 lol, I didn't even notice that! darth revo will forever be an unfinished product, lol. Just when I think I got it the way I like it, I think up some other stuff to change/do. Never ending cycle. introductions - JOE - 12-03-2005 i think thats why its a hobby lol |
