Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 I am just wondering if you guys see anything wrong or something that I should change to make my maxx race worthy. Any Problems With This Race Truck - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-16-2005 Personal transponder Any Problems With This Race Truck - GWPHOENIX - 12-16-2005 RPM a-arms Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 Quote:Personal transponder I was reading how you ordered them. I hate not having a job (only 15 grr). If I had the money I would take one. You ordered something like 2 extra right? If still have them when I am ready to buy I will buy it from you. Quote:RPM a-arms I am going to stick with stock because they are lighter. Another thing with the transponder. Where do you mount it? I am wondering because I am going to be painting my good body for racing and am wondering if I need to put any special holes somewhere. Any Problems With This Race Truck - Michowski - 12-16-2005 you can mount a personal transponder just about anywere on the truck, if your going to be using the tracks then you need a small hole in the body. Any Problems With This Race Truck - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-16-2005 As Mich said. Except the instruction sheet does say tha it should be less than 15cm above the track, and it should be mounted away from metal or carbon fiber chassis, and it should be mounted away from the receiver. And all ten sold, but maybe it will happen again closer to summer raec season. Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 Thanks. I was thinking maybe a hole on the left side of the winshield (away from my cooling hole) or in the left driver sides window. How far away from the receiver? I am going to try and put it right in the middle of the chassis towards the front shock tower. If not there on top of the steering servo, where it was before. Quote:Except the instruction sheet does say tha it should be less than 15cm above the track So more than 15cm above the track or lower than 15 cm above the track? Any Problems With This Race Truck - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-16-2005 No higher than 15cm. It can be lower. The loop that reads the amb unit is buried in the track. AND they recommend it be mounted horizontally (flat) relative to the track surface. Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 15cm. About how many inches is that? So where should I put a hole in my body and where would be the best place to mount a personal one? Any Problems With This Race Truck - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-16-2005 15cm = You're a student right? Figure that one out. Hole in body for loaner - dunno. Personal mount - where it won't get beat, broken, fuel spilled on, or anything else bad. PS: the wire on the personal is only about 6" (15cm) long so it needs to be kinda close to the radio box, somewhat. Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 Thanks. LOL So the personal one plugs into the receiver? Any Problems With This Race Truck - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-16-2005 Yes, powered from the rx pack but not plugged into the rx. Y harness after the battery pack. One feed to the rx, the other to the amb. battery------>switch (or plug if you dont run a switch)-----> y harness -> one leg out to rx, other leg out to amb Hope that "drawing" makes sense. When the rx is on, the transponder is on. The track loaners are rechargeables. Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 Yeah, I have a switch. Waiting on tower to ship. It keeps getting pushed back on when they are getting them. This would work? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUR75&P=ML Any Problems With This Race Truck - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-16-2005 Not knowing what your truck is wired like, I would hesitate to say. I was just messing with mine, and because I back feed power to my rx, I have the battery slot open on the rx. I plugged the amb in there and it functions correctly. So if the batt spot is open on your rx, attach it there and simplify your wiring. The amb has a male plug, like a servo. Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 It's going to be Rx pack-----on/off switch-----servo extension------receiver. I could replace the servo extension with the y harness and plug the amb into of the slots and the on/off switch into the other. I'll try "drawing" it. I posted it. Any Problems With This Race Truck - destroy_my_revo_15 - 12-16-2005 i thought you could also plug it into the 3rd channel if you have one Any Problems With This Race Truck - UE-Maxx - 12-16-2005 http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b52/ChiTownsFinest017/stevedrawing2.jpg I don't know how to get the font bigger in paint so I just used the "spay paint" to write. It's not the best. Sorry that it's so bad. |
