Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - r0nd3L - 09-27-2004 Hey, One guy has .21 T-maxx for trade. Here is the link. . He wants to trade it for E-maxx. Do you think it's worth it? Thank you! Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - firesprink281 - 09-27-2004 looks good. just choose a color. yellow+purple looks nasty!! :o look at the 6th pic down at the back shock.... looks bent. minor fix but i happened to spot it. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - Michowski - 09-27-2004 my opinion is that would be a good trade. Looks like a very decent truck and if all the problems are minor like he said it would be very very easy to fix them. I would jump on that if i were you. The cvd are worth 150 new, pipe is around 40 if i remember right. tires are upward of 100 dollars with rims. ya i could keep adding it up but you get my point. There is a pretty good chunk of money in there. Jump on it dude. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - r0nd3L - 09-27-2004 Yeah, I pmed him. What do you think about engine, any good? Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - Tex - 09-27-2004 dude I wouldn't even think about trading that emaxx for that IMO hunk of garbage. It looks like that truck has not been cared for properly and it's all beat up everywhere. He would be getting the good deal if you trade, not you. Your emaxx is in good shape. There is a better trade out there for you. Try and get a trade for some good quality parts. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - Tex - 09-27-2004 the engine isn't good either. It's equivelent to like a XTM.21. SH motors are the same as XTM and megatech if I'm not mistaken. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - SixVi6-Camaro - 09-27-2004 I had a couple of those megatech .21's 3 ports. It is an SH based .21 and they always tuned fine and ran fine.. just didn't have much power at all though. Probably a 1.5hp engine. ITs got a lot of stuff on it but its all the cheapest stuff money could buy on it and I think that is abd old Robins .21 converion or something like that it raises the engie wayyyy up to make clearance for the engine. Super high CG and lots of problems with flex and the header melting the rear shock tower and the header getting dented and torn up in a crash when the shock tower hammers into the header. I'm sure its pretty fast though and the enigne wont' have soo much power it will break weird driveline parts but I don't know. it looks kinda rough and the rainbow color scheme... ehhh... but for an even trade for an e-maxx mmmmm.. mabey because there isn't much of a market for e-maxx's. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - DO-U-MAXX - 09-27-2004 six sounds a little hesitant and I would agree with him. Tex has made his point very clear and a few others sound like they would do it. I would wait until a better trade came along. Look for something with a sirio .18 in it or similar. Be carefull of the BB conversions unless its a CNC chassis rather than a stamped one as you can have a lot of flexing problems. The motor I know nothing about but six has had them so take his advise on those. I think you could do better, unless of course he will throw in some $$ to make you feel better about the trade. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - TowShen - 09-27-2004 ya i wouldent get it just cause its UGLY!!! and i like SB's Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - thenewguy821 - 09-27-2004 Is it just me, or does it look like the Maxx is a .21 stuffed into a RC Raven SB Chassis? There is no clearance for the header, the right rear forward shock looks like it has been custom mounted because of the tight fit. That could be where the bend comes in (nice eye firesprink). I have the RC Raven chassis on my Maxx, and I am looking at it now. The spacing from the Steering servo, battery box, fuel tank is identical. Isn't a .21 chassis supposed to be about an inch or so longer? In my opinion, take the cash offer you got for your E-Maxx, and leave this HackMaxx alone.... Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - SixVi6-Camaro - 09-28-2004 its the robbins RC .21 conversion which is long discontinued.. all it conststs of is that stupid motor mount that raises the engine wayyy up and back. you can use any stock length chassis you want with it and it is mounted on an old raven chassis. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - Tex - 09-28-2004 smells like garbage to me Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - SixVi6-Camaro - 09-28-2004 ouch.. noticed something else.. its old skool maxx suspension and not the widemaxx 2.5 style. I think everything on that truck is old.. Pre 2.5 maxx at very least. Guess What? Need Your Opinions Again :D - thenewguy821 - 09-28-2004 Damn Six, I thought I noticed something that noone else had, and you got us again... lol |
