Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - bandit - 12-19-2005 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGPD6&P=0 I just bought one of these just for the heck of it, and I have been running it in my 29 gallon fish tank. It is actually a pretty cool little sub. The fish don't seem to mind it at all, and when I turn the aquarium light out, the sub has little forward lights and it pretty bright. It's a lot of fun. It would make a great stocking stuffer for any R/C fan. Just a little heads up on a neat little toy. Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - t to the maxx2 - 12-19-2005 I had one, ran it in my 45gal with 2 6 inch oscars, it wasnt pretty....LOL Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - FreeRideFrosty - 12-19-2005 LMAO! I had oscars... they would have eaten the antenna for sure if not the whole thing. If you put your hand above the water they would jump and clamp on sometimes... pretty funne. Looks like fun though. It would be cool if you had a large reef setup... Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - bandit - 12-24-2005 Here is my sub which I torment my fish with Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - Sh1nn3r - 12-24-2005 Lol Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - rocco79 - 12-24-2005 t to the maxx2 Wrote:I had one, ran it in my 45gal with 2 6 inch oscars, it wasnt pretty....LOL Ive had oscars too... What did they do to it!!??? LOL!!! Ive had pirahanna too.... The Oscars were much cooler Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - FreeRideFrosty - 12-24-2005 I have found oscars to be more aggressive than pirhannas... they are mean little suckers. Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - rocco79 - 12-24-2005 I dont know what Oscars you had but ours just sat back and relaxed and wait for the food to come to them, they were way more laid back. The pirahanas were skiddish and afraid of everything that moved outside the tank. They were a big let down Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - FreeRideFrosty - 12-24-2005 I had gigantic oscars. hehe... they were about 7-8 inches long and mean as s***. Heck I think 2 of them formed an alliance because they beat up on the other 2 really bad. One ended up committing suicide (jumped out of the tank in the middle of the night.... yes, there was a lid on it too) And then they basically ate the scales off of the other one... mean little ba*****s. Fun to watch though. If you put your hand flat above the tank about 2 or 3 inches out they would jump up and try to bite the flat part of your hand... Then we went on vacation over spring break and turned down the heat in the house... well we forgot to put the heaters back in the tanks and they died. Sad day. :-( Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - rocco79 - 12-24-2005 Yeah ours were that big too. The pirahanna stressed them badly . So the pirahanna had to go Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - bandit - 12-25-2005 Here is my 29 gallon where I torment my fish with the sub. I'm sure if you can see them, but at bottom there 2, 7 inch chinse algae eaters. I'm pointing this out because they are mutants, they are not suppose to get that big. Plus I'm very proud of my Angels. I have had them for 3 years and raised them since they where a 1/2 inch in size, and now they are huge. Thats the longest I every had Angels. (I am also a fish hobbyist) Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - snakebite46 - 12-25-2005 Thing is pretty cool Bandit.... Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - Ponch - 01-01-2006 Jeez, crazy people and their fish...lol... Hobbica Sea Scout Mirco Sub - bandit - 01-02-2006 Yeah, it is a sickness, just like R/C. |
