Dual Tank T-Maxx - Traxxas_Junkee - 12-22-2005 I just got done putting my powerstrokes on, so I decided to put my rustler tank on there. I just drilled a few holes in the chassis, and then i putsome zip ties around it too. Dual Tank T-Maxx - Ponch - 12-22-2005 WTF you hillbilly lol...Dude that'll never work unless you have another pressure nipple and a line splitter...I think..... Dual Tank T-Maxx - FreeRideFrosty - 12-22-2005 Hmmmm... I hear an air leak idle coming on... Dual Tank T-Maxx - Traxxas_Junkee - 12-22-2005 it works fine, matt, just shut up, lol, not leaks so far. Dual Tank T-Maxx - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 12-22-2005 do u have pressure line coming off both nipples? hahaha "nipples" hahhaah Dual Tank T-Maxx - cemeb4dk - 12-22-2005 The savage had a dual tank mod using an airplane header tank. The pressure port should go to your main tank. Plug up the secondary tank pressure nipple. Then the oput put fromt he main tank goes to the smaller tank, then the smaller tank output to the carb. The secret to this, for it to work properly, the fuel outlet on the smaller tank must be above the carb inlet. This is where the problem lays, with doing this with two normal tanks. I am sure your engine is running very lean with this set up. Dual Tank T-Maxx - RobH - 12-22-2005 where are the by pass shocks? edit: asked on aim, he needs a blatter for one of them. Dual Tank T-Maxx - MaxxGS - 12-22-2005  Dual Tank T-Maxx - Traxxas_Junkee - 12-22-2005 i just have the pressure line from the exhaust going into the small tank, the outlet from the small tank going into the pressure for the big tank and the big tank goes to the carb. so basically the little tank goes into the big tank and then after that the big tank empties out. Dual Tank T-Maxx - squirrel - 12-22-2005 imo i don't see the need for a dual fuel tank. just more unneeded weight. as long as you have a good pit guy the extra run time wouldn't be neccesary, but whatever gets you wet! Dual Tank T-Maxx - Traxxas_Junkee - 12-22-2005 well im not racing, just bashing but if i ever do decide to race, i can just pull the stock tank off or just dont use it, cuz there is 50cc difference in the tank, so really now i have 200ccs of fuel on board that should mean 18+ min run time Dual Tank T-Maxx - Ponch - 12-26-2005 So did you try it out yet? Dual Tank T-Maxx - Traxxas_Junkee - 12-26-2005 yeah, i did the first night i did it, it works fine, i just have to get my motor tuned, since it is the first time with the motor 2. Just got a new digital camera, takes a lot better pics. |
