New Engine = New Fuel ? - db302 - 01-06-2006 Howdy all, I just installed a O.S. .18tm on a Revo. I was wondering what the best brand of fuel and nitro % I should use. I mostly bash, but knowing me I'll probably start racing again as well. I couldn't find anything on the O.S. website which is why I'm asking this question here. Thanks. :wavey: New Engine = New Fuel ? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 01-06-2006 Odonnell 30% New Engine = New Fuel ? - thenewguy821 - 01-07-2006 Different people have had different experiences with all kinds of fuel. This question could easily be turned into another Revo vs Savage, or Chevy vs ford Type debate. Try to stick with the quality fuels (Odonnels, Trinity, White Lightning, Maxy's, etc...) and I would recommend at least 30% Nitro. That's just my opinion, but the performance you gain with the higher Nitro is very noticable. New Engine = New Fuel ? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 01-07-2006 30% nitro is easier to tune, OD and Byrons have the most oil, and IMO are the best 2 out there New Engine = New Fuel ? - Traxxas_Junkee - 01-07-2006 some advice, STAY AWAY FROM BLUE THUNDER! New Engine = New Fuel ? - kevinF - 01-07-2006 ohhhhhhhhh that not good. thanks for telling us now im sure noone will buy that stuff now. 550 degrees holy $h!t New Engine = New Fuel ? - Traxxas_Junkee - 01-07-2006 yeah, lol, that was pretty hot, the piston was all black on top, it was totally gone New Engine = New Fuel ? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 01-07-2006 I got my ws7ii up to 450 the pressure line poped off, after my dad pinched it, the motor lasted another 8 gallons. now that is quality right there! blue thunder blows, its the only fuel that i have seen with condensation inside of it if it sits for a long time. Yes i get my OD from Al's all the time New Engine = New Fuel ? - thenewguy821 - 01-07-2006 Blue Thunder also has a problem with destroying One way bearings. New Engine = New Fuel ? - db302 - 01-07-2006 Thanks guys, O'Donnell's or Byrons 30% it is. Later - DaveB New Engine = New Fuel ? - Mr. Tune - 01-07-2006 You could also try trinity platinum 30%. That's what I used with my 18tm. Holds a tune good, temps are good, lots o power . New Engine = New Fuel ? - thenewguy821 - 01-07-2006 Also, I'm having great results with White Lightning.. New Engine = New Fuel ? - FreeRideFrosty - 01-07-2006 Blue Thunder is BAD. Stay with either Odonnels or Trinity 30%. They are available at almost all hobby shops.
