Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 I figured I would put this here since I don't have pics taken yet. I got the OS .21 installed, the trans moved up (I screwed up and 1 hole was out of place in the chassis but it I can't budge it at all with the 3 in there so I am not going to worry about it for now) the pipe is hung, all of the linkages are done... everything. I am absolutely shocked at the power this thing makes. I had a picco .26 in my buggy a while back and this thing blows that away. The motor is still very rich as it hasn't had more than a half gallon on it yet. I got the temps up to about 170 and tooled around for a little while before shutting it down. I need to get e seal for my tank so I didn't even try to tune it yet. There is so much compression that I had to heat the head first before I tried to start it. Once it was started it will idle all day, even as righ as it is. This is the first time I have driven a MT with enough power to pull the front end off the ground virtually on command in second gear. I am thrilled. Thanks to chris for the motor and Gabe for all of the help with the installation... well worth the time to fit the 3-shoe buggy clutch in there. :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: Holy Crap!!! - Traxxas_Junkee - 02-01-2006 well you wernt down too long, not even a week were you? Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 4 days. LoL I don't mess around. Granted I have to live a week on $4.37 now but I think I can handle that... I'll just waste away to normal. I will get my tank all sealed, scrape together some pennies to get some longer fuel line, do some tuning, maybe get together for a small bash, and pretty much use the rest of this fuel. Next week I will get paid, pay off Gabe, buy some fuel and will be back in business 100%. :-) Holy Crap!!! - Ponch - 02-01-2006 You suck lmao...Now I'm selling the buggy as a roller and going bb w/ the os 21 I have lmao. Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 Bring it... I'll take an RG Vs VZ-B race. I think I have pretty good odds... This thing is SICK. I can't even imagine what it will be like after I start to lean it out. Holy Crap!!! - Ponch - 02-01-2006 Yeah, you'll have the upper hand....But Um....My radio wins lol. Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 Right now I am running Tomm'y JR XR2 or whatever... I will either be getting the MX-3 up or going M8 spektrum in the near future. (as money allows basically) It's ok though... I will race you like this. Holy Crap!!! - Obsessive R/C - 02-01-2006 FINE!! I'll just have to put my NR528 in my Revo and teach you boys a lesson! Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 LoL... That + Revo = BOOM! Holy Crap!!! - Obsessive R/C - 02-01-2006 :blah: You'd be suprised what people can make work. Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 I saw your garage so I am convinced taht if it is RC related you can make it work... Holy Crap!!! - Obsessive R/C - 02-01-2006 Holy Crap!!! - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-01-2006 dan if u ever want to get rid of some of that torque, go with .09 clutch springs it will tame it down a bit Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 I will see how it is after I tune it. Right now with it being so rich off the line there is no pop... I will have a lot playing around with setups ahead of me... Holy Crap!!! - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-01-2006 its still rich! damn u are gonna have fun with wheelies on that thing wow lol better get a wheelie bar! Holy Crap!!! - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006 I have one... it's called a wing. It just barely has 1/2 gallon into it. I was told it hadn't even been leaned out yet. He was right... low end is very rich and the high end is pretty rich. Holy Crap!!! - squirrel - 02-02-2006 Go Dan!!! That thing has to be sick!!! Holy Crap!!! - Tex - 02-02-2006 Good job finishing it up on your own Dan! Now get a oring from Tune for the tank before you screw that new motor up. Oh yeah everyone, me and Dan found out that his stock gas tank o-ring was blown and that's most likely what caused his last motor to be inconsistant and lean. End result=blown motor. Holy Crap!!! - destroy_my_revo_15 - 02-02-2006 another one lost into the world of a bb revo...... Holy Crap!!! - Sh1nn3r - 02-02-2006 Told ya it was a bad a$$ motor. Holy Crap!!! - Mr. Tune - 02-02-2006 Lean it out a little dude, 170 is too cold. Too cold is just as bad as too hot. With that said, let's see how you do on a race track with that thing! Holy Crap!!! - snakebite46 - 02-02-2006 Mr. Tune Wrote:Lean it out a little dude, 170 is too cold. Too cold is just as bad as too hot. Too cold is worse than too lean.....=) Holy Crap!!! - Michowski - 02-02-2006 get those temps at least 210 Holy Crap!!! - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-02-2006 that motor will run its best at like 200 all oses do Holy Crap!!! - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-02-2006 Tex Wrote:Good job finishing it up on your own Dan! Now get a oring from Tune for the tank before you screw that new motor up. Look at his old avatar...that's why it blowed up...he drives it like a maniac. How does one spot a blown fuel cap oring, since we are an educational thread now? I always feel for the "pop" when I open the tank. I know you can leak test also, so what other ways? And Tune, please restate the size oring you found locally and where you found them....thank you. |
