Hpi .28 - Tex - 02-08-2006 Has anyone else had probs with the 4.6 motor in the Hellfire besides John? Maybe people are talking on truggyracers? Just sucks that after a half gallon it grenaded a bearing and tore the whole motor up. Mich, how much gas have you put through yours so far? Hpi .28 - Mr. Tune - 02-08-2006 I called up HPI. Mine is on it's way back to them for replacement. They were super nice on the phone. Excellent customer service IMO. The hellfire is the HO version, which I guess its different than the one they put in the savage. Or so I hear. Hpi .28 - Michowski - 02-08-2006 mines only got about 3 tanks. Hpi .28 - rocco79 - 02-08-2006 I read on truggyracers of 3 others with the same problems Hpi .28 - Michowski - 02-08-2006 well if the engine only lasts a half gallon for everyone and with the way i drive i should be able to get a quart through it. Hpi .28 - mikeh - 02-08-2006 Dont know about the HP version, but my K4.6 is very reliable at a gallon+ so far. Hpi .28 - snakebite46 - 02-08-2006 What's happening to the motors if you dont mind me asking ? Hpi .28 - Michowski - 02-08-2006 rear bearings letting go. Hpi .28 - Obsessive R/C - 02-08-2006 Bummer...will they warranty it? Hpi .28 - Mr. Tune - 02-08-2006 Yes, they'll warranty it. Rear bearings shouldn't blow out that fast. |
