I would need to see it but the resevoir goes on top, the compressor hooks up and then a small button should mix the air and paint thus spraying through whatever nozzle is on there... The fluid tip goes through the section directly in front of the hose on the bottom.Then the cap screws onto it. (these are the parts in the clear tube w/ the red cap) The paint cup or bottle attaches right to the end of the fluid tip. Soak the parts in that and it will loosen up all the dried paint w/o harming the other parts and seals. The solid metal parts can be soaked in laquer thinner to dissolve any dried paint.
