wow did i ever stir the pot.... - slim - 02-20-2006 over on the LH forum.... man some one get my back. dude call me a prima donna.... wtf? evidently im a "classy guy " too. pop in there and speak your mind. am i outta line here? http://p220.ezboard.com/fleisurehoursracewayfrm10.showMessageRange?topicID=284.topic&start=21&stop=29 wow did i ever stir the pot.... - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-20-2006 I think there is way too much bitching goin on everyone should stop complaining about this great new facility we have. yes marshalling in the quals and mains is necessary, but to have to change a practice schedule so that we have guys out there to marshall is ridiculous. I am one of those guys that likes to run for 15 20 minutes straight, but since the one tank minimum thing, I run my tank and go marshall, yes sometimes i forget i am human. But i do try and marshall and I think havin 4-5 guys out there is fine for practice if u crash that much that u need a marshall in every corner u shouldnt be there on race day. Im sure that is gonna piss people off, but its just my opinion. Lets not complain about the way things work at a place we are all EXTREMELY thankful to have wow did i ever stir the pot.... - FreeRideFrosty - 02-20-2006 That comment just makes me want to hack a TTR buggy in practice. I'm J/K man... I think that it kind of sucks when things go "demolition derby" but if we want more and new people in the hobby it is going to happen. Rather than bitch at them lets try to give them small tips and setup help to get them a little more under control on the track... wow did i ever stir the pot.... - slim - 02-20-2006 just so were clear.. im def NOT bitchin about the track..... its the drivers. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-20-2006 I know slim, but u have seen it its been goin on on the grid an all, ya i know i said stuff about the announcing, but truly i dont care one way or the other, I am just happy to race! wow did i ever stir the pot.... - Michowski - 02-20-2006 slim i hear were your comming from, i support ya but i cant post on the leisure boards. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - slim - 02-20-2006 thanx guys... honestly it hasnt been a big deal to me.... till sat night. that was a grose display of it right there. 20 poeple on the stand and then NO ONE...that broke the camels back. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - dentguy92 - 02-20-2006 fu#@ them Slim. F'in eazyboard B.S. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - BottledBeast - 02-21-2006 wow it looks like i missed alot form not going to the track wow did i ever stir the pot.... - Michowski - 02-21-2006 If you cant marshal after you run out of gas or get somebody who knows what there doing to take your place you shouldnt be allowed on the track wether its a practice or race situation. Its either that or mark the cars of the people who dont marshal and just walk around there car when its flipped over. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - slim - 02-21-2006 i got a mini! vendetta. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-21-2006 I thought that was a Christmas gift for your kid? wow did i ever stir the pot.... - slim - 02-21-2006 oops... oh yea! wow did i ever stir the pot.... - bubbacola - 02-21-2006 It's pretty bad that I have to hear all this about annoucing and marshalling on the chat broads. Until now I had no idea that we had a problem with announing. All it would take is, Bernie can you have Jon do this or that and it would be done, if possible. As for Marshalling I know Jon and myself tell people when they come that we ask that they run a tank and then marshall a tank. At leased it freed up the freq a little. Do you think having them sign a paper is going to make people marshall? Or, we can kick them out if they don't marshall. How long do you think we can keep the doors open if we did that. Payed marshalls. what maybe four? I can find some one for 5 dollars a hour times 5 hours, which is 25 dollars, times 4 is 100 dollars. Rise the practice fee to 13 dollars (based on 20 people practicing) to cover the cost. can't wait. they'll be knocking down the doors for that. or we can go on the chat broads and tell people now it sucks so people don't want to come. I do read the broads and look for an anwser to marshalling which is a problem at all tracks not just ours. If it sounds like I'm PO'ed, it's because I am. If there is a problem, try to come see me instead of posting it on the boards. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - Mr. Tune - 02-21-2006 I don't think their complaining about the announcing bernie. The announcing is pretty good if you ask me. I think their complaining that the announcer has to constently call out to get marshalls out there. The announcer should have to keep telling the racers to get out their and marshall after their heat all day long after each and every heat. Everyone is complaining about the lazy ass racers who don't get out there when their supposed too. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - slim - 02-21-2006 Sorry Bernie, I was pissed too. not at LHR but the drivers. I tried to make it clear that it was not LH's fault but I guess i didnt see the big picture, since i was so focused in the lack of coutresy from the drivers that night. From now on i will come to you guys first. Truly am sorry about that way i perpetuated this and could have done it in a better fashion. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 02-21-2006 Announcer is fine by me. The racers who walk right down the stairs, past the impound table, and right to their pit with their cars are the people that need to be "attitude adjusted". I don't care if you run three classes out of four and you're broken and need to get ready. If you're gonna be busy racing, bring your pal to marshall....it's the rules!!! And they apply to all of us equally. wow did i ever stir the pot.... - Tex - 02-21-2006 yep, the announcing is great IMO, during practice there is still a mashalling problem though. It has become 100% better since the new rules were put in place about fuel bottles being left in the pit room but still a MINOR problem. I catch myself out there marshalling with 10 cars on the track during practice by myself and about die from a stroke...lol I am guilty of not mashalling after EVERY tank. I think if you crash alot marshal alot, if you don't hardly need to be marshalled then you don't need to marshal as much. Give and take equally, but there is a fine line I say everything is pretty good over at LHR, I love racing and hanging out there. Well time to go read the leisure board, I haven't seen that yet... |
