HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Ponch - 02-25-2006 Looking at the Sirio Kanai .21 Edition #1, will it have more power than my HB26? HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - FreeRideFrosty - 02-26-2006 I know the .26 HB motor is quick but I am going to guess that a nice race .21 should rip it apart... HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - thenewguy821 - 02-26-2006 The Sirio .21 doesn't have much low end power, but has a good amount of top end. HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Obsessive R/C - 02-26-2006 Top end motors aren't ideal IMO because you spend very little time on the straightaway, you need power coming out of corners. HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Ponch - 02-26-2006 Ok then. I'll just stick w/ the 26 till I find something better.... HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Obsessive R/C - 02-26-2006 Don't make any quick decisions... you can gear your truck for the low end and use the top end as needed. I personally prefer the opposite...use the bottom end of the engine to pull a higher gear. HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Ponch - 02-26-2006 Thing is though is that I'm prolly gonna end up selling this truck too. I just don't have as much interst in it as I thought I would. HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 02-26-2006 too much low end is even worse, tire spin will kill u HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - Obsessive R/C - 02-26-2006 Throttle control....its all in the finger HB26-VS-Sirio .21 - thenewguy821 - 02-26-2006 All good points, don't get me wrong, the Sirio is a good engine, it just doesn't have a lot of low end punch. I'm sure with the right pipe and gearing combo, it could wake up, but in a Truggy, you already are using the gearing to overcome the tire size. In a Buggy, it is a great engine. |
