Cold Weld? - Ponch - 04-24-2006 Click Anybody tried this stuff? Looking to make an extended revo chassis and it says it has a good strength rating. Cold Weld? - Mr. Tune - 04-24-2006 That stuff won't hold. IMO, there is no bonder out there that will hold up in this type of application. You need to weld the 2 pieces with a welder if you want it to last more than 5 minutes. Cold Weld? - Ponch - 04-24-2006 Darn. Cold Weld? - Obsessive R/C - 04-24-2006 Cold weld (JB Weld) will repair cracks and stripped threads, but it will not fuse anything together....Tig welding is the best way to extend a chassis. Cold Weld? - Ponch - 04-24-2006 Alright then. Thanks. Cold Weld? - Traxxas_Junkee - 04-24-2006 Matt, don't you weld in shop class. Cold Weld? - Ponch - 04-24-2006 Yeah but I ain't in that part of shop anymore- there's 3 rotations- metal, wood, and drafting. I'm in drafting now. Cold Weld? - Traxxas_Junkee - 04-24-2006 Oh, ok, then have one of your friends do it that is in metals. Cold Weld? - Ponch - 04-25-2006 I think I'll just ask if I can stay after some day but IDK. |
