Starter Box Gel Cells??? - PoPRC - 05-25-2006 Ok, I need to get a 12V Gel Cell and charger for my Ofna True Start Universal Bump Box. A guy on another forum said I could get an Interstate 12V battery and a Battery tender Jr. Charger. What do you guys recommend? An does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for this thing? Also is the power panel necessary? Should I get one or no? I also have to leads Power(red) and Ground(black) coming out of the side of the box. What are these for? Charging the unit, the glow ignitor or what? Thanks Guys Starter Box Gel Cells??? - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 05-25-2006 Go to or call the Radio Shack store that is closing in Woodridge (on 63rd Street). They had 3-4 on the shelf last week. Two sizes, various chargers. You might call them to see what they have. The store is at 50%-70% off on what they have, which is going fast. Starter Box Gel Cells??? - PoPRC - 05-25-2006 Cool, thanks for the info. I'll find a Radioshack over here, that one is too far to go to during the week. Whats the average price on those? Cells and Chargers. Starter Box Gel Cells??? - Mr. Tune - 05-25-2006 You can get a battery and charger for less than $20 from al's. Hell, if you bring the box in they'll prolly help ya wire it up on the spot. Doesn't take but a few minutes . Starter Box Gel Cells??? - maxximum_44 - 05-25-2006 If you have a couple 7.2v stick battery packs, you can use those also. I have Duratrax starter with a 12v gel cell and a Ofna starter with 2 stick battery packs. Battery packs charge quicker and give more voltage(14.4V),and a 12v cell will last longer per charge. |
