Sounds like your mesh is too loose, or the slipper is too tight.

savage x spur gear - daven75 - 07-12-2006

with the slipper do i just unscrew it a little?

savage x spur gear - UE-Maxx - 07-12-2006

Yes. Back it off a little more than a quarter turn from tight.

Hey, are the teeth like melted? It could be that your idle is too high, so you adjusted the brakes and now the clutch bell is heating up, and melting the spur. Check that your truck rolls freely w/ everything at neutral, and that your idle ain't too high.

All the Savage Xs came from the factory with bad gear mesh you need to re-adjustment. Every Savage X we brought into HobbyTown we took out and corrected it. Just tighten it up and you'll be okBig Grin
