spectator - Whitey04 - 08-03-2006 I was just wondering, I know it sounds like a stupid question but do they had a spectator area? I Was thinking of coming up there friday night to watch some of you guys race. Maybe marshal or something if I could, talk to a few of you about your nitro truggies. Going to make the plunge and buy a stadium truck saturday and just wanted to check some of this stuff out before I buy to make sure I want a truck and not a on-road car. spectator - cemeb4dk - 08-03-2006 There is no set bleacher area, but anywhere on the side of the track and pit area would be fine. Just a heads up sadium trucks is a dieing breed and they usually dont have a big turnout. It is usually MT's truggies and buggies. So if you are serious about racing I would look into another class. I would hate for you to buy one and not be able to race often due to low turnouts. spectator - Ponch - 08-03-2006 cemeb4dk Wrote:There is no set bleacher area, but anywhere on the side of the track and pit area would be fine. +1, in class sizes last week (from lowest to highest) it was MT, Truggy, Buggy. spectator - Whitey04 - 08-03-2006 OK whats a 1/10Th scale jato classified as? spectator - Traxxas_Junkee - 08-03-2006 The last time I was there to race they had 1 nitro stadium mixed with an electric stadium, and 2 electric buggies. spectator - Ponch - 08-03-2006 Whitey04 Wrote:OK whats a 1/10Th scale jato classified as?Illegal......But if setup correctly it can be run with stadium truck. spectator - Whitey04 - 08-03-2006 Revo2k Wrote:Illegal......But if setup correctly it can be run with stadium truck.illegal? Is that because of the 2 speed trans? spectator - Whitey04 - 08-03-2006 whats the deal I get different opinions from everyone "you should buy this, or this, or this" I originally wanted a omn-road nitro car, I was told that its hard to find places to race um. I was told to go stadium truck and since I did that once before I figured that would be good. Now I can't race it? spectator - slim - 08-03-2006 look into a mayhem buggy maybe. spectator - slim - 08-03-2006 cant really race it, if no one is in your class lol.. seriouly, like they said it IS a dying class. indoor they arent bad, but no one wants to run them out door. spectator - Tex - 08-07-2006 Jato's have a .15 motor, only .12's are legal for racing, not to mention the 2-speed. In regular club races they will let you race a stock Jato but any race that has stricter rules or where they tech your car it will fail. I say get a 3.3 revo, sprtwerks mayhem buggy, or a RTR CRT spectator - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 08-07-2006 Whitey04 Wrote:whats the deal I get different opinions from everyone "you should buy this, or this, or this" I originally wanted a omn-road nitro car, I was told that its hard to find places to race um. Weren't truggies originally referred to as Arena Trucks? Maybe someone meant to tell you get an arena truck (truggy) and they said stadium truck (1:10 gas truck) ? Get what makes you happy, but as someone pointed out, it does no good to want to race in a class that doesn't have enough entries to make a race. I bought a Gas Truck because I wanted to run in that class, but I'm rethinking it now. If GT had more regular entrants, I think it would be a great class (indoors). Trucks, parts, tires, etc.. is a little less expensive with a 2wd GT versus truggy. Smaller engines use less gas, too!!! My .02. spectator - ghosty - 08-07-2006 give gt a little time it will make a comeback when associated releases the gt2 spectator - bubbaracing - 08-08-2006 How many ST trucks would it take to make a race? If Whitey, Dave and I were to run maybe we would need at least 1 more truck right? I'd run against a Jato, don't scare me 1 little bit! Might actually be a challange? lol. Who all has a stadium truck (gas) lying there collecting dust, ya'll need to bring them out so we could run outdoors? Just my 2 cents on it, i've been waiting to come out to race because I heard the turnout wasn't the best for the ST? Matt spectator - Ponch - 08-08-2006 MXKevin has a stadium truck too. spectator - bubbaracing - 08-09-2006 Well that's another one, anyone else? If we can get a couple more that might make a decent race? Matt:headbang: spectator - MX_KEVIN - 08-09-2006 I always bring mine just in case but havent had much luck since we went outdoors. Most of the regular fast guys have them also. Sonny and clan, GQ Johnny ect... BRING IT ON spectator - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 08-09-2006 C.Crosley, Squirrel..... spectator - chicagokenji - 08-09-2006 I'd think if other people show up with electric stadium trucks they could run with gas ST's. As long as everyone agreed that was racing. That could help get a class together. Just call it 2WD Stadium Truck Class, for that day. I liked running mine on the outdoor track. Slap a mod motor in and the right tires and it's fun. I was keeping up with monster trucks...I'd assume an electric could keep up with nitro ST's maybe even have an advantage....of course the 10 minute main would be a prob....but so what, slap a 2nd battery into it! spectator - Whitey04 - 08-10-2006 Well I ended up buying a 8th scale buggy. I actually kind of like it, didn't think I would, and I would buy a 10th scale st and race it. Lets see what kind of skills ya'll got with 2wd drive as compared to this 4wd b/s spectator - Mr. Tune - 08-10-2006 What buggy did you get? spectator - Whitey04 - 08-10-2006 kyosho inferno mp7.5 |
