Losi 8ight T - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-23-2006 Here are some pics of the Losi prototype truggy from the Truck nats goin on right now http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=226190 Losi 8ight T - UE-Maxx - 09-23-2006 Doesn't look like it will hold up to much. Losi 8ight T - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-23-2006 its in 2nd right now lol Losi 8ight T - rocco79 - 09-23-2006 Is a TTR in First? ;o) Man, those prototype arms are thick! I just wish the top plate and the bracing werent plastic... Other than that it looks cool. Mike who paints for the drake? Losi 8ight T - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-23-2006 u know i have no idea pavidas is in first after 3 rounds no ttr in top 10 Losi 8ight T - snakebite46 - 09-23-2006 The thing about the 8ight I dont like is the springs.... they look too short. Towers dont look that impressive either. Especially the scale version of it. Losi 8ight T - kevinF - 09-23-2006 looks good but I like the buggy look of it better. were are you guys finding out whos in what place?? is there a live site? Losi 8ight T - Toughtrax - 09-23-2006 item 78 on the grid has alot of info posted about the quals and I'm sure he will have info on the mains. It's Tony P's thread dont know how to spell his last name. Losi 8ight T - kevinF - 09-23-2006 oh....yeah I have a user name on there....but I kinda lost the name and password...lol anyway you can post it up on here?? or no Losi 8ight T - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 09-23-2006 rocco79 Wrote:......who paints for the drake? Frank'sBodies Losi 8ight T - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-23-2006 hmm never heard of them. I like how the losi's went with the big shocks. The pistons are 6 hole instead of 2 also, im sure that keeps the oil cooler and more consistent Losi 8ight T - Ponch - 09-23-2006 snakebite46 Wrote:The thing about the 8ight I dont like is the springs.... they look too short. Towers dont look that impressive either. Especially the scale version of it. On the buggy, they just look short. They're actally about the same size as a regular buggy spring, just fatter. And the towers are really thick, like Racer's Edge shock towers thick... Losi 8ight T - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 09-23-2006 http://www.Franksbodies.com was his old site, but it's gone. His name is Frank Mijares and he used to paint a LOT of magazine bods. He did a lot of touring car racers about 2 years ago, but must be so busy he doesn't need a website or ads??? Losi 8ight T - Thirdgen89GTA - 09-23-2006 I'm all for this, theres alot of good design ideas in here. I don't see how they'd spend so much money just to be "different" There must be a good reason that they have made this buggy the way they have. It may or may not be better, but if it proves durable and successful I can see myself buying one of them in the future since I'm an 1/8th buggy addict. Losi 8ight T - badmojo - 09-23-2006 I'm not really a losi guy, I did love hearing the losi snap all the time I'm an associated guy, and now I have the jammin trugg, but the 8 and the 8t look kind of cool. it will be a wait and see process as I ain't switching any time soon. Losi 8ight T - Thirdgen89GTA - 09-23-2006 I got my Jammin FTE and it would take alot for me to sell that one right now. Have to be a pretty damn good buggy. Losi 8ight T - badmojo - 09-23-2006 only time will tell man, i mean love the or hate them but losi has always been one of the top manufacturers, so after all the bugs are worked out, we will have to wait and see Losi 8ight T - Toughtrax - 09-23-2006 I think that it will turn out to be a good buggy, and the reason I think that is they have a good team of drivers that will be able to give losi good input of things that need to be changed and as was stated above losi is a very big manufacture so they have the big money and resources to do the tweaks that need to be done to it. I like it alot and I think that losi did a great job on the buggy and came up with some new concepts that I think could be a good thing for most companys in the near future but I think the one that will be a good buggy if and and thats a big if and when it comes out will be the associated buggy. Losi 8ight T - Toughtrax - 09-23-2006 I will add about the 8ightT that I dont like so far about it is that with there being that much distance between the flywheel and the rear arms is that I looks like you would almost need a paticular starter box to get everything to line up the right way. I'm sure that you dont need a special made one or anything like that but you would need one with alot a adjustability for that motor to get to that flywheel it looks like. Losi 8ight T - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-23-2006 they were sayin it looks so long cuz of the narrow chassis, said it was the same distance as the other trugs i guess I cant wait to see the AE stuff they are comin up with Losi 8ight T - Toughtrax - 09-23-2006 what do you think that you would do Mike with the whole TTR thing when ASC gets there buggy going?
