I need some servos :) - Eracer76 - 10-18-2006 Im going to Leisure Hours, probably today to buy some servo's. I just cant deside which ones to get. Ive been running my Airtronics 94359z's for 1 1/2 years with no problems, but it seems they might be getting slower over time??? Maybe its just me, cause they still work great. So Im going to get two more servo's, so I can run both my ST-R and SP2. I was thinking on trying something new like Futaba's, I like the Ace servos too, but I dont think Leisure Hours has them? I'd get the 94359z's again, but it would be nice if I didnt have to spend over $225 on servos. I need some servos :) - Stahoo - 10-18-2006 I'm a Futaba fan. I've been running 9350 and 9351 servos in all my stuff (cars, trucks, boats) for years now and haven't had any problems. I'm sure others work just as well, be we all have our favorites. I need some servos :) - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-18-2006 get the ace servos 80$ if not get thhe 9350's and ull be set I need some servos :) - Michowski - 10-18-2006 I got a 94359z and a 357 il sell ya both for 150 shipped. They were both sent in to get new cases and wires, and they were both inspected and came back in like new condition from airtronics. I need some servos :) - Tex - 10-18-2006 I say Futaba 9351 on steering and futaba 9451 on th/br.... Now that is a KILLER setup I need some servos :) - Ponch - 10-18-2006 I like my JR8800S (speed) servo and my 8800T (torque) servo. They work well, but I wouldn't get the torque one, too slow IMO. The speed servo has a great amount of torque and is super fast. I need some servos :) - joey - 10-18-2006 the ace servos are awesome and if you order from amain you can get it to your door next day. I need some servos :) - Casketman - 10-18-2006 Ace those ace servos as loud as the stock ones I have in the ST-1? I need some servos :) - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-18-2006 no the ones u have arent digital I need some servos :) - chickenfarmer3 - 10-18-2006 my hitec 5955 and 5997 are sweet I need some servos :) - Ponch - 10-18-2006 chickenfarmer3 Wrote:my hitec 5955 and 5997 are sweet Didn't that one crap out the other day at the track? I need some servos :) - Eracer76 - 10-18-2006 Thanks for the input guys.... I ended up getting the Futaba digital 9350 for steering and the 9451 for the throttle/brake to go in the SP2...and I spent under $200 Now I just need to put the Air 94359z's back in the ST-R... I need some servos :) - Casketman - 10-18-2006 Both the ST-1 and Revo are getting 5997TG's for steering. Right now, just a 645MG for throttle in the Revo. Stock in the ST-1. Not sure what to get for that. I need some servos :) - Michowski - 10-18-2006 any reason why you didnt just get 2 9451's? Theres only like 15oz of difference in torque. Just curious. I need some servos :) - Michowski - 10-18-2006 Whoops I need some servos :) - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 10-18-2006 the 9350's are more heavy duty with the heat sink case and all I need some servos :) - Tex - 10-19-2006 yep, 9350 is better for steering. I need some servos :) - HAGASAN - 10-19-2006 9350 aint that great for steering. they only have 130oz of torque. You should have atleast 180oz for steering in a buggy or truggy. I had the 9350 in my buggy before and switched to the Hitec ti 188oz'r. As far as the ACE servos, those things are kickass and the replacement gears sets are like $15 from amain. I need some servos :) - Tex - 10-19-2006 9350 is rated at 130oz, feels like 180oz. Some companies such as Hitec and Air seem to over rate their specs, Futaba seems to underrate theirs. Just my observation, you can use whatever servos you are happy with. I had a 9451 in steering on my 10lb supermaxx and it steered on a dime. That's only rated at 120oz. I need some servos :) - Tex - 10-19-2006 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBXA7&P=ML says it's 139oz at .12secs, I tell ya, it feels way stronger. I need some servos :) - Michowski - 10-19-2006 go to amain for those. Its cheaper. I need some servos :) - Tex - 10-19-2006 I was just linking for specs. Go to LHS for these, we may not have hobby shops much longer because of on-line stores getting most of the business. I need some servos :) - maxximum_44 - 10-19-2006 Eracer76 Wrote:I ended up getting the Futaba digital 9350 for steering and the 9451 for the throttle/brake to go in the SP2... Im no racer.... but thats the same setup I have in my sp2 and it works great. I need some servos :) - snakebite46 - 10-19-2006 But if online saves ya some $$$ why not go online ??? Local shops need to lower prices to stay in business. If homer can sell tires for 11.00 a pair, A main for 15.00 and Leisure sells them for 20.00.... I think most people would go online to save 18.00 for a full set. I need some servos :) - HAGASAN - 10-19-2006 Your saying you know the diff between 139oz or more just by feel? Wow your good. |
