Electric Screwdriver - JTak77 - 01-07-2007 Wasn't sure really to post this one, but I was just wondering if anyone uses an electric screwdriver w/ torque adjustment. (They use pneumatic ones at work, and they are really fast, and you never over-tighten a screw!) I was just sitting here thinking about how nice it would be to tear down and rebuild a vehicle in no time with the aid of this tool. If anyone has any ideas, makes, models, please let me know. Electric Screwdriver - Ponch - 01-07-2007 I was looking at this but don't know what kind of bits it has available for it. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=sc_pgb_r_3_0_265054011/601-0603542-3122501?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000FUWFJY Electric Screwdriver - cemeb4dk - 01-07-2007 Get this skil one, no need for torque settings.. http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?CNTTYPE=PROD_META&CNTKEY=misc%2fsearchResults.jsp&BV_SessionID=@@@@1467924458.1168200273@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccieaddjlejgfllcgelceffdfgidgln.0&MID=9876 Dam link didnt work, just search screwdriver, and the skil one will pop up as most popular Electric Screwdriver - JTak77 - 01-07-2007 Thanks a bunch guys, the ones I looked at are crazy hi-tec like the ones they use at work, only electric instead of pneumatic. I'm going to look at the ones you mentioned if I can't get one through work. Heres real similar to what I actually had in mind at first. Only the direct-plug-in model instead. http://www.etorque.com/html/esd_electric_screwdrivers.htm Electric Screwdriver - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 01-07-2007 i used to use one but stopped, I dont even know where mine is anymore. From what i have seen guys strip out more shit when they use an electric screwdriver Electric Screwdriver - NickGT - 01-07-2007 The $40 Skil Lipo one is Great! Granted it doesn't have a clutch($40), but if you have any wrenching skillz, you should be able to feel/hear when a screw is getting tight. If your stripping screws with an electric, your probably hamhanding your Tx too!!! imho Electric Screwdriver - Casketman - 01-07-2007 They are nice for those long ones though. Or the really tight ones like under the chassis. I have been thinking about getting one just for those reasons. Electric Screwdriver - Racin' Ranger1 - 01-07-2007 i need some hex bits i have the drill, but 34 bucks..... |
