Well ive narrowed it down to a mbx5t prospec and a losi 8ight-t. When i do get one of those 2 what engines and servos do you guys recommend?
Thanks,
nick

Well for a truggy you want a .28 size engine. A few to look at:
V-spec .28 (coming out soon)
Ninja .28 (also coming out soon)
Novarossi 528XR (hotmodded or stock)
Picco .28 P3
Jammin JPX .28

Engine Recommendation - FreeRideFrosty - 03-11-2007

Werks .28 or V-Spec .21. The Novarossi is a fuel guzzler and too much power for racing (from what I have gathered). I actually sold my Novarossi to get the Werks.

soo is the vspec regualar .21 enough power for a truggy?

Engine Recommendation - motoxer4life - 03-11-2007

its either a vspec or a werks.

Engine Recommendation - FreeRideFrosty - 03-11-2007

I think it is probably enough.... though I have never run one. I heard great things about the Werks from several people so I went with that. Great fuel economy out of a .28 and I imagine tons of power.....

Engine Recommendation - motoxer4life - 03-11-2007

illk orllly go eb mod vspec or wekrs after i save up

Engine Recommendation - kevinF - 03-12-2007

get a v-spec. chickenfarmer has one in his truggy, so does mikeL and they both are plenty of torque and top speed

Engine Recommendation - Tex - 03-12-2007

MX Kevin also runs a VSpec.21 in his Mugen truggy.....sick power

Engine Recommendation - motoxer4life - 03-12-2007

thats prolly what ill get. And kevin hes got a eb mods vpec in his mugen.

Tune and JB both run the werks TL .28 in their truggies getting like 10 minutes of run time and tons of power, Ill prolly be getting one for my truggy. You cant beat the price on those right now, 200$ from a-main vs 280$ for a vspec

Well Being the only person in this thread that can give you a knowledgeable opinion (besides tex or mike) ill give my two cents...

I HAVE a mbx5-T and i run a novarossi p5x. After 7 mins i have just under a half a tank of fuel left..... Im sure its close to a 10 min. motor. HARDLY a fuel hog....
ALSO
My .21 engine has more than enough power to T-H-R-O-W my truggy around.

I would take a higher quality .21 or ANY .28 on the market.

Motors i would suggest in an mbx5-t or similar truggy :
(not in any order)
Novarossi 21+5
Rossi Ninja BO-1
Novarossi p5x
Werks b7 .21 (or) .28
Vspec
