Dudes, I am totally gonna rig up my boy's Power Wheels ATV!

Brushless Barbie Jeep - AddictedtoNITRO - 03-12-2007

then show us how so I can do it to bigfoot. I already need a new trans thingy cause the 4-wheeler battery was so powerfull. Maybe I'll find a metal gear off something and stick in there

Brushless Barbie Jeep - mikeh - 03-13-2007

Yeah, thats the problem. The trannies in those Power wheels are not strong enough to handle a lot of power. You can safely rig up an 18 volt system by wiring in another 6 volt battery in series. Thats good for speeds in the 8-10mph range.
Once you go 24 volt, or intall bigger motors, you will start stripping gears.

Brushless Barbie Jeep - Meatwad - 03-13-2007

why dont you guys call castle creations and see what they usedIdea

Brushless Barbie Jeep - mikeh - 03-13-2007

Castle used used Mamba maxx motors. I saw it at the show too. I don't really intend to do that to my son's Power Wheels. But I am rigging up the 18 volt system.
