Got my Chitown R/C Basher - RCDad - 06-16-2005

Well I've been wanting one of these for a long time, its supposed to be on the way, ready to race, and all that. We'll see what kind of shape its in when it arrives...you know how that goes. It's hard to tell anything from pictures (sort of like meeting someone online).

Anyway, I needed something to take with me when you guys want to go out and bash monster trucks, I really don't want to sacrifice my pede.

From what I know of the Savage, its pretty much ready for anything right out of the box. No upgrades really needed?

Not much of a racer but GREAT basher and tough as nails.

"Don't want to sacrifice the Pede" ...... Dude we bash with stuff worth serious $$$$, thousands..... I know the Pede is sweet and all but anything can be fixed if it's broke. Just my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to bring the Pede to a bash session. It's not like we play crash up derby or anything. It's just like running it in your street out in front of your house.

Pedes are super fun bashers, use it for what it's good for. .......02 cents

Congrats on the purchase. Savages are GREAT bashers!

I'm trying to keep the pede for racing. I've heard you can't hurt a savage, I'll have to see.

I've never in my life seen someone do good with a Pede racing. Maybe "backyard racing" but not at any local established track.

I had 2 Pedes before. I tried racing one at Leisure, not easy at all.

What is the difficulty?

Got my Chitown R/C Basher - satoch - 06-16-2005

LOL!!! What's the difficulty? The list is a bit long but we can start with suspension and drivetrain. You can put on good tires. But you'll still be at a noted disadvantage racing Truggies and Revos when Bernie combines all the MTs. You wouldn't have a chance against a well driven Revo much less a truggy thrown in cuz there aren't enough truggies for their own race.

Just come out racing with us this Sat. at the NitroFarm up in Wis. or http://www.marrca.com

I don't even consider the pede in the mt class. I'd want to race with other stadium trucks.

Oh, well that clarifies a lot of issues.

Sadly, however, as I understand it through the grapevine, Sonny O and the majority of his crew seem to have finally seen the writing on the wall and decided to sell all their 10th scale stadium trucks and go to "Arena" trucks (Truggies)

The 10th scale trucks are dead IMO

The nitro (or electric) stadium trucks will kill a Pede in a race, due to the Pede having a high center of gravity. Plus it's considered a MT due to the center of gravity it has, therefore it would have to be raced in the MT class at most races. One race that differs from the rest are the Dirt Dawg races. They race all electrics together no matter what kind it is. But then youd be racing against XXX4's with Novak BL's.

Don't get me wrong RCDad, I loved my Pede and miss it to this day......Great basher, one of the funnest out there, but not a racer by any means.

I had a 'pede for awhile too. I had soooo much fun running that thing at Berwyn. As a basher, that thing was awesome. As far as a racer, it wont do good at all.
