Sure there are! I'm one! BTW, the new REVO diff kits from RC-Monster are awesome! Attn: Revo owners - J-Dub - 05-12-2007 Maybe those would help me solve the problem of my diffs leaking all the time? or does one of you revo owners have tips on how to fill the things so they don't pop and get everything all gooey when they leak! Attn: Revo owners - rocco79 - 05-12-2007 Are you overfilling them? That will cause about any diff to leak. Attn: Revo owners - J-Dub - 05-12-2007 Not too sure about proper fluid level...any tips for that? Its really impacting my sanity having to tear about the whole rear end to find the orings chewed and the diff leaking. so I get maybe 10 minutes with a diff that actually does what its supposed to. probably filling them too full, last rebuild I didnt fill them as much as I used to, but they still popped so im going to have to put less in, lol Attn: Revo owners - Michowski - 05-12-2007 Get new cups and seals and fill the cup about 3/4th the way full. Then put the ring gear on and tighten it up in an x pattern. Attn: Revo owners - rocco79 - 05-12-2007 Put in just enough fluid to cover the cross pins inside the diff Attn: Revo owners - Michowski - 05-12-2007 for the revo I always filled it just below the top of the spider gears on the sides. Never leaked any and it was always full when I tore em apart. Attn: Revo owners - J-Dub - 05-12-2007 well I was filling them way to full. thanks for the tips...whenever I feel like it I think I'll try to do it right. Attn: Revo owners - Michowski - 05-12-2007 also another tip if your replacing the cup and seals is to oil the seals before putting them in. Just put a drop of 2 on the seal and use your fingers to work it around the seal then install it. |
