Sirio .18 Help - Obsessive R/C - 07-04-2005 I have a Sirio .18 drop in for a Maxx. The problem I'm having is the guy who had it before me cut the pilot off the shaft!! (why..I have no idea  ) The problem is I haven't been able to find a pilot shaft adapter to fit. The threaded part of the crank is the same as a 2.5 crank so... the pilot for the .15 won't work (thread size way too small) I bought a New Era pilot shaft for a .21 conversion (uses 2.5 clutch, flywheel, etc.) and apparently standard .21 shaft tread is still smaller..(really close, but still doesn't fit) Can anyone help me out here?? Sirio .18 Help - Tex - 07-04-2005 there is a traxxas part to extend the shaft, I've seen it. I can't help you with a part number though sorry Sirio .18 Help - Obsessive R/C - 07-04-2005 Yeah, the Traxxas part is for the pro.15 stlye engine, it works for conversions like the O.S. .18 cvrx when you have to cut the crank, I looked at that one but the thread size is different. I know Ofna makes a .21 pilot shaft but its 1/4 x28 and the Sirio shaft is more like a 24p or maybe metric? Sirio .18 Help - Obsessive R/C - 07-04-2005 This is the engine I'm talking about... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDRB9&P=7 Sirio .18 Help - Tex - 07-05-2005 I've owned 3 of those Sirio's..... I just wonder why the last dude cut the crank  |
