Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - J-Dub - 06-21-2007 I'm looking to upgrade the servos in my LSP truggy. right now I've just got 2 JR 650s and they are okay. Im looking to upgrade without breaking my bank. Suggestions for Steering and Throttle Brake? Im kinda looking for some more speed on both, without sacrificing strength. Thanks in advance. Also...if you have used servos of good types for the afformentioned things. feel free to drop me a PM with a nice price. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Traxxas_Junkee - 06-22-2007 I would say a JR 9000t on steering and a 9000s on throttle/brake. I have the S on steering in my buggy, its a nice servo. Or look at Futaba, I can't remember the numbers, but they make good servos too. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Meatwad - 06-22-2007 Ace Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - kevinF - 06-22-2007 go with ace or futaba. Ace if you have bad luck because they will replace the servo for free. also what raido system are you running? Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - blktransam - 06-22-2007 I have had great luck with the JR9000 series in my buggy/truggy Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Meatwad - 06-22-2007 kevinF Wrote:go with ace or futaba. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Meatwad - 06-22-2007 i was at practice on tuesday and saw that lsp steer. and the steering was real slow Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-22-2007 ACE are great or 9350-9351 or 9451's those are the only servos i would put in my car Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - motoxer4life - 06-22-2007 Ya i agree ace is really good. I have them used with my buggy and theyre actually for sale now if your interested. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Tex - 06-22-2007 JR650's are powerfull and decently fast (they seem faster than the rated .17sec) If the steering is REALLY slow then the servo is about shot. I bet JR would replace it free of charge. At this point I would buy a Futaba 9350, throw that on steering and send in the current jr650z steering servo for replacement/repair. Keep the other 650 on throttle for now..... Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - J-Dub - 06-22-2007 I like Spektrum Tech, or 2.4 GHZ what have you. What kind of jack am I looking at If I were to upgrade? Anybody know the prices on those Futaba Servos? And whatever Radio is good now days thats around 200 dollars and is 2.4 ghz. I think the Servo may be about shot it was used when I got it and I have NO idea what condition it is in. I was thinking the whole time im driving it "My Revo has more steering than this" I will consider getting the Futaba steering and leaving the 650 on throttle. only reason I ask about a better throttle is cause I dont know what a good quick servo is. Jeez I really talk alot... Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - J-Dub - 06-22-2007 motoxer4life Wrote:Ya i agree ace is really good. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Traxxas_Junkee - 06-22-2007 The 650 should be plenty for throttle/brake. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - J-Dub - 06-22-2007 I know it works good but im a megalomaniac, and I mentally need the biggest baddest strongest fastest stuff or I feel like im cheating myself. LOL I just enjoy an upgrade to be honest. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-22-2007 the 9350's are like a 100$ a piece but they will prolly last u longer than any other servo out there, great warranty too. Mine are going on 2 years and I am not thinking twice about using them for the nats Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - J-Dub - 06-22-2007 sounds like good servos. What are good radio options? That use 2.4 Ghz Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-22-2007 well im an airtronics fan, M8's are still great if u can find a good used one, I like my M11 even though alotta guys bitch that its too heavy. The Kopropo (i think) Z-1 is really nice a lot of guys have those as well. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Tex - 06-22-2007 Jeremy, the key is to get a $350 radio (like the JR Z-1 w/spek) but snag a good used one for around $200-250 (at that price w/spekrum a lot of the time) Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Ponch - 06-22-2007 React...used....can be found between $200-$230 fastest 2.4 system available. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 06-22-2007 but u gotta use their receivers, he already has some spek stuff Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - UE-Maxx - 06-22-2007 You can use spek rx's with the react radio. It's just not as fast as if you use the react transciever. J-dub, check out my FS thread. I have some good airtronics for sale. Looking to upgrade Servos. options? - J-Dub - 06-23-2007 The problem with finding good radios is Its hard for me find 200 dollars just lying around. |
