Computer Question - Ponch - 11-21-2007 Ok, we have this computer; http://www.amazon.com/Presario-SR5152NX-Desktop-PRocessor-Premium/dp/B000RNG3RE]Amazon.com: Compaq Presario SR5152NX Desktop PC (AMD Athlon 64 PRocessor 4000+, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium): Computers & PC Hardware The processor speed is 2.1 ghz, a dual core processor. I want to get Guitar hero 3, but it requires a speed of 2.8 ghz. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock with Guitar Controller - Windows I thought I read somewhere that the whole dual core thing doubled the speed? If that's not the case, is there any way that I can increase the processors speed? Thanks. Computer Question - Casketman - 11-21-2007 I know you can over clock processors but heat is the problem after that. And even with doing that. I dont think you get much from it. I believe I was told that the whole dual core thing works as a team. Running different programs and whatever. One handles one large program while the other works on whatever else. Allowing the PC to run smoother and faster. Computer Question - Traxxas_Junkee - 11-21-2007 Just go buy a video game system.
