A Very RC Christmas - BJoe - 12-27-2007 Anybody get RC stuff for Christmas this year? Folks got me a Micro Desert Truck, which stayed stock until about 3:20pm yesterday and a $100 gift card to work:joy: Before; After; I just installed the bearings, threaded axles, and RPM Micro-T bumper (fits perfectly with the DT body too ) as well as buying the Ni-MH peak charger (don't want ot need the Li-Po as of yet.) and striping off the graphics stickers to let the candy red shine through. Some of that money is going to parts for the WK, Pede, Rusty, and Bandit too. A Very RC Christmas - motoxer4life - 12-27-2007 those things are cool, how do they handle? A Very RC Christmas - BJoe - 12-27-2007 OK stock, much better once you put bearings in them A Very RC Christmas - bubbaracing - 12-28-2007 What did the bearings and etc ya put on it cost ya? A Very RC Christmas - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 12-28-2007 I have a clear MicroT body shell that I have been waiting to paint...any ideas for a scheme for it? I was planning to paint it for the heck of it, and then look for a person who needed one. A Very RC Christmas - BJoe - 12-28-2007 bubbaracing Wrote:What did the bearings and etc ya put on it cost ya? NOt as much as it could have, I bought them at work. IIRC the Axles and Bearings are $11.99 for each and the RPM bumper is $4.95. Pealing off the those ugly stickers was a freebie DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 Wrote:I have a clear MicroT body shell that I have been waiting to paint...any ideas for a scheme for it? Whatever you paint it, I'd leave off the stickers that go on the side (same with the Baja body), those screw up the looks of that cany paint on all three different bodies if you ask me. Just make sure you sell it to somebody who's got a Micro-T or Baja, the M-DT is about 1/2" longer behind the ESC/Rx. The way the batery compartment looks, with a little creative Dremeling, uoi could actualy run 2 packs in it for longer run times if wired in paralell! |
